today i had my first eye test ever and im 22 it came out i got in both eyes - 0.50 and i need long-distance glasses i felt for last few months like my eyes get too blurry when i wake up or i look at multiple colours i do get big pink dot for almost minute really surprised also my mum and dad wear glasses now we all will have it i chose black and blue Lipsy glasses they normally 100 pounds but because im on benefits i did get those for 35 cant wait to have them but now i honestly know what i will spend some of my money on definitely will get few glasses in different styles even something like you have chosen i might get later like you said to have less heavy glasses

Im -4.00 -3.50 in the other i have mphioa astigmatism in both mine astigmatism in one eye is my cyl in the -4.00 is -1.00 and the -3.50 cyl is -0.50

As a retired optician I enjoyed seeing the eye exam process in the UK. If your job requires your eyes to be staring at a computer monitor all day long I am not at all surprised that your eyesight has gotten a bit worse. Computers are very hard on the eyes and I would think that since you have glasses already you should start wearing your glasses at work and on your phone. Wearing your glasses more often isn't going to do any harm to your eyesight. So even if you were to go full time wearing glasses it wouldn't cause any change in your vision. I like your new glasses and being a wire frame with adjustable nose pads they should not only be very light weight but also very comfortable to wear as well. I'm glad that you included what the results of your eye exam was. Interesting that your left eye is now the weaker eye when before it was your better eye. But not unusual for that to happen. Actually the difference between your eyes is really very slight. And you seem to have developed a very slight astigmatism in your right eye as well. With your previous glasses were you told that you needed to wear your glasses when driving? If you didn't need glasses before yo do now. Your new prescription even though it is still on the weak side is still more than enough that you need to wear your glasses whenever you're driving. By the way you look really good wearing those glasses.

It will damage your vision if you use full corection distance glasses on close-up. What are you thinking how your myopia started in first place. Because of eye disease? That's bullshit. Endmyopia.org
@@cbrownes So by now you have been wearing glasses fulltime for the last 5 years. One thing I should have added in my comment was that even though wearing your glasses fulltime wouldn't in anyway cause any harm to your eyes or cause them to worsen wouldn't mean your eyes wouldn't worsen naturally. But that would have happened even if you weren't wearing your glasses fulltime.

I only get new prescription every 2 years my eyes really chsnged i did realize i couldn't see and even my prescription id feel car sick 24 7 with or without glasses even sitting at home lol now better with new prescription got mphioa astigmatism in both eyes i got 5 off zeelool basic lenses 1.61 hard coating impacted resistant uv protection anit scratch anit reflection one pair has this and blue light other same lenses tinting lol

They are just for distance. I honestly spend more of my day looking at close up screens so need help far away
The astigmatism correction might help for all distances including close up. Depends how sensitive you are to very slight blur but as that part of your prescription is very low you might not notice. Wearing your glasses when you are not looking at a laptop screen will help your eyes relax and everything will be in super HD!

I meant to add that it might be a good idea to get a spare pair and a pair of prescription sunglasses. Obviously you could get them from the same place as you got your new glasses or take your prescription to any optical shop if you find something that you like there. Alternatively you could go to an online optical shop and get some good quality glasses for less money than a regular shop. The online shops usually have a virtual try on (where you upload a photo of your face to the website and put the frames on your photo) or they will post a selection of frames of your choosing to you so you can try them on at home. When you decide on the frames you you enter your prescription and and choose lens options (anti reflective coating, sunglasses tint etc). You then pay with credit/debit card and your glasses will be posted to you a couple of weeks later.
