This was a crazy edit, took a lot of work and I'm happy with what came of it. If you weren't aware, the faces/voice acting was all done in the mission, so players saw that stuff live. The song, Cadian XXth, was also first revealed to the entire Cadian in this mission. Up to this point, only about 3 other people knew the song existed.
What unit/clan is this?
This is my unit, the Cadian XXth. Casual milsim, roleplay and all those weird ops that you never get to play in your normal milsim group. It can be found in the discord: / discord

What is this mod?
A combination of There is Only War, Grimdark Armoury and Imperial Conquest, the three main 40k mods for ArmA 3.
Are you SovietWomble?
I wish. Video definitely has inspiration from the likes of Soviet and Max0r, but I try to strike a nice line for telling a story, humorous edits and actual gameplay. I try to put out a video every three days, hence why not every single video will be a Fustercluck or not as long or detailed as I'd like. Time constraints are a problem.

In a heroic sacrifice befitting The Emperor, he detonated an explosive on his person, killing the Heretic Astartes. With that, Former Guardsman Simpkin was elevated by our glorious Emperor to Saint Simpkin of the Cadian XXth. May his sacrifice never be forgotten, and may we all die with the dedication to the Emperor of Man!

And then a fortified enemy inside the building.
I love the little tink of the grenade pins like the the one second before a storm.
That was beautiful.

That was beautiful, watching a literal rain of grenades being thrown over the wall, it really felt like a solid Imperial Guardsman tactic to hurl a ton of grenades over.

Three Commissars were talking about how badass their assigned regiments were.
The Cadian bragged that his men stood against a chaos crusade, unflinching and unwavering in their faith as the planet broke beneath them.
The Krieg commissar scoffed, telling the other two that his men were so brave, he had to actively keep them from charging at enemy positions.
The Catachan scoffed at the other two and said "You think your men have balls? Watch this." He turns to his men. "You lot! Give me fifty jumpin jacks right now!" In unison the Catachans responded "Go fuck yourself!"

To be fair, lagging in movement to appear going forwards and then backwards again in midair is entirely appropriate for a demon engine. You never know what to expect from machines that have been touched by the Dark Gods!

There quartermaster must have been both happy and angry about the fragging of the fortess, happy becuased they used the frags, and angry becuase they damaged his knew post and used ALL of the grenades

The non-liniarity of the warp really affected that one heretic ship.

Honestly my favorite part is seeing how Simpkin's mad lad status has lead to entire battle lines being named in his honour. :P
Don’t get me wrong props to Rimmy for setting up all those missions and using tech sorcery to make it go but Digby is the real star of the show that makes it feel so realistic and immersive
That was quite literally one of the best cadianxx ops I've watched thus far. Tunnel op was a close second. The character's on screen and the voice acting (surely do this more) was a notch above anything previous. You can really tell that rimmy really put his heart and soul into this one. My only lament is that I can't join the ops.

It was actually an ambush. As the players arrive at the fort Blood Pact attack them from the surrounding hills. If they run into the fort, mine dispensers and auto turrets shot them.
I think the real heroes of this war are the guys playing duck-duck-goose.

Almost as good as the intro and voicework for this operation. The cogitator not being able to translate Scottish was a master touch as well so much good humour :D
I love that the Daemon Plane acted properly warp possessed.
Every time I see an ArmA video, I always wish that it could run better, control better, and play better than what it is now. Imagine an Arma game that looks like Battlefield, has the physics of battlefield, tight controls, and the depth of ArmA. It would be absolutely insane.
A lot of it comes down to the mods honestly. 40k mods are really really unoptimised and have many issues with them, not to mention the error with bis_fnc_stalk in this mission. So things like modern warfare in ArmA honestly run pretty well. But realistically, you'll never have the physics of battlefield and such. The scale of the games is entirely different, no computer could ever handle ArmA with that level of computation required.

Makes sense! Though, my mind does end up going to think about games like Planetside 2, granted it's not nearly in depth as ArmA and doesn't have to deal with the massive amount of NPC's and whatnot, but it still makes me consider the possibilities. I just mainly want to see what ArmA would be capable of being worked on by a bigger studio, or perhaps had more funding. While I understand the fact that it's a feat in-and-of itself for the game to even work as well as it does, I still want to see it improved where it can be.
Love how the techprist in the intro goes "I learned to trust more in the data i cannot see, than the data i can" only to be like "i had no data on your pilots and bodyguards" a few seconds later

I like how Rimmy avoided shooting at the airship so his men could actually get the chance to fight it. If he used his trusty bolt pistol it would have gone down too quickly
