Great review! Reallyyyyyyyy wish you guys would have include the negatives of each vessel. Probably the most important factors viewers want to hear in any review, otherwise it's just a sales commercial.
That Cayman 246 is incredible. The layout is the best in the business and the hull design making it a true, true blue water, safe fishing boat is really amazing. I find These bay boat hull designs are a interesting topic to continue to watch. Wonder what new design will come out next? My guess is, they've 100% figured out what design, bow rise,/ entry angle, bow flare, chine size, chine Lay out and tramsome design that just works perfectly! These new bay boat designs may be the largest improvements in boat industry, designs since the CC was introduced. These are the new norm in bay boats, and the next generation needs to understand and appreciate just how far they've come and just how damn good they are. I'm contemplating selling my current boat and buying a 246 cayman for salmon fishing on lake Michigan, walleye casting and trolling on Green bay and pan fishing small inland lakes. Raise the Jack plate your comfortably in 12" of water to cast for spring panfish in shallows. Wth a power pole and a 36v ipilot on the bow. And this thing set up wth my current gear / rod holders, down riggers would be FANTASTIC catching kings on lake Michigan. Then when i retire in a few years, i drag it to Matlacha, Cape Coral, marco island areas and live out my life fishing out of one of the best purpose built boats ever made. A true, great, fishing family, fun boat that can do it all and do it very, very well.
+jajinfla Check the profile pic "Masters247" ! Just moved down here from NY and had no idea what the heck a bay boat was. Back home in NY we just used deep v CCs and that was it ! After seeing the versatility of the bay boat, we decided it was the boat for us. We took a Sea Hunt BX 24 out for a sea trial , a Sportsman Masters 247 and an Everglades 243. We had out hearts set on the Everglades as we have always been a fan of their deep v's. The Sea Hunt also had the tackle station behind the leaning post and that was another feature we enjoyed. We then ran into a Sportsman by mistake and decided to give it a shot. It lacked some of the eye pleasers of the Everglades and the tackle station of the Sea Hunt but we still gave it a shot. After taking out the Sportsman, we purchased it right there on the spot with no hesitation ! The ride wasnt even comparable in OUR OPINION. It has been fantastic. Best piece of advice I can offer you is to go out and sea trial as many models and makes as you can. The saying "each to his own" is just as true when it comes to boats.Thats why I capitalized "our opinion" lol Best of luck !
I think all thier reviews are biased. What about negatives fit and finish etc. How they are but around those transomes and how the bud keeps the water out. Videos are all the same every boat is great plenty of storage etc. I know what the video is going to be before watching every time. Generic videos
Florida Sportsman does an outstanding job with video and breaking down subject matter. I am a huge fan of Florida Sportsman..

I’m between the 246 Cayman and the Grady White 251ce. Which would be better for offshore overall?
