No kidding about Karşıyaka fans! I was in a game against Karşıyaka in İzmir as a Fenerbahçe fan and during the game a brawl sparked in the stands between the opposing fans, everyone throwing lighters, coins, keys and stuff. After the game police didn't let Fenerbahçe fans out for at least an hour because there was a crowd gathered waiting for Fenerbahçe fans to come out. It was a weird ride to home after that since I lost my shirt during the game lol.
Fans there dosnt suport only basketball or football (soccer) games , they make that same atmosphere even on table tenis where ever our club is competing. Also, still, many clubs especialy in balkans and eastern europe are 'people owned' , and people money go to that clubs tru state tax , so you better leave the heart on the floor. Also fans have vote in many decissions club is making , so it is deep.
I was a steward at that game Josh Childress is describing. Not really working, just got in the game this way. While all the chaos was taking place, I stopped a guy just before he throws a 2-seat bench at panathinaikos players. Even though they beat us, i never subscribed to that kind of stuff. Batiste may deserved it though...
Translation: Craziest fans, no doubt are Serbs. Especially from Red Star Belgrade. No doubt at all... I'm assuming watching videos on phone outside when it was cold or coming after game drunk... maybe both.

I'm watching this as a European with zero interest in sports, still amusing.

usually in Europe you don't sports fans but club fans
