One of my favorite pieces of music. From the very first time I heard it. One of the things I really like about it: the slow-moving waves of sound (brass instruments) that emerge at intervals from the fast-paced percussion instruments. I envision two kinds of brain waves meshing like perfectly aligned gears.
You hit the nail on the head! I love your response. My mom was saying it sounds frantic or frenzied and I told her that to me, it sounds like someone urgently wanting to share an ingenious discovery they just made.
