i remember back in the day i thought the nexus 5 was the ultimate android phone, it was such a good looking device and it had pure android which just looked so good, my 14 yo self was so in love with it, never got to buy one tho. It's crazy to thing that 10+ years later it's still working and in such good state, i suppose you treat it well! As someone commented, try to install linageos and give it a couple more years of use, don't let it die yet!
I loved my Nexus 5. Best Nexus device I ever had. Back in the old cyanogenmod days. Lost it when on holiday in Bali back in 2014. Only negative was the battery life.
Or better yet install revanced tube on it. My s5 neo has android 7 and it's enough for revanced which is just an ad free youtube app. Pretty much identical to the regular one in most ways.
Besides the battery life there isn’t a great need to upgrade your phone anymore. I am still undecided if I am going to upgrade my phone this year or pay for a battery replacement.
Was going to get a battery for my Samsung s22u because honestly it was still a really nice phone. But when the s25u released they were offering 600 bucks trade for my phone so I just went for it. It's honestly an amazing new phone, but part of me feels like I should have just got a battery for the s22u and kept it for a couple more years.
Really good point! I liked the look and feel of KitKat and Marshmallow, but also I’m a bit lazy. Will consider it again though, thanks for the suggestion!
@@OmerDesignX get youtube revanced. It's an ad free youtube app just like the stock one. It brings proper youtube functionality back as far as android 5. It's not new but youtube not working on marshmallow is new so I hope they get lotta downloads

Install a custom rom. That thing should go all the way up to android 11

Aren't you able to download a cracked version of the TH-cam app from an earlier date?
Why not lineageOS
