Community Update 3 Part 2 is out! New German infantry skins, a new mode and more awaits you. After the terrible defeat Davidson and I suffered in our previous attempt we recruited Barry and switched over to the Finns and to the Early setting and well. it's quite broken lmao
Felt more like a base builder this time around. Perhaps we retry this but with more difficult opponents in the future (or just Late Soviets/Germans vs Finns - could be exciting!)

I absolutely love 'last stand' mode in this. i like how for example American AI can rarely throw a pershing/super pershing at you forcing u to concentrate fully on it ;D

It's good that you tried this map for Last stand. There seems to be two "type" of last stand maps. One's where you spawn directly on the point and have to defend in a full 360 (like in your last video) and ones where you spawn slighty back from the point and need to run to it and defend mostly from 3 sides instead (depending on the map of course) like in this video.
I think it's the latter of these maps that show this mode the best. The maps where you spawn directly on the point can be quite frustrating especially as the waves go on and it becomes a bit of a clusterfck as you spawn units for them just to die.
Though nextime I think you should up the AI to atleast match the player count and maybe up the difficulty :)
Yeah the 360 vs this "180" version is night and day, 360 is rough, these 180s are rough too but a bit more fun, can even use artillery a bit more haha
Ok so here's my idea. How about they make it as such that the PVE defense have some "historical mode" that will feature historical defenses such as that of Bastogne for the Americans, Kursk for the Soviets, D-Day for the Germans, and the Mannerheim line for the Finns. Very big disclaimer here, as it will be more of a game mode, of course it will allow an endless mode and will feature a lot more tanks and infantry for the attacker contrary to what actually happen but hey, it's a neat idea.

Sherm & company really made the Finn's fun here! Barry & Davidson both add their own unique talents 😉! Well played and do look forward to seeing some late war 'Last Stands' 😚. Would be interesting if you could play USA & Germany vs. Russia 😏? Really curious to see if the # of units (explosions, etc.) played on the Heroic level, in co-op creates any latency issues 🤔. Best wishes regardless!!

I like playing this mode with either Finland or Germany against USSR. I tried playing US vs Germans but they don't have any TDs that can take a hit and it's hard to cover them when the enemy is incoming from all sides.

Officers have negative CP, it's 25 per officer.
It stacks with multiple officers, but you can only ever buy 2 officers per match.
Officers have a very heavy capture weight, meaning that when on a point, it makes capping the point or holding it basically guaranteed. (Funny thing about capture weight, better units have more capture weight, and finnish infantry has better capture weight than their German and Soviet counter parts)
Losing an officer is a heavy blow, but they are very good units which can really help out your units in spotting and destroying targets (although snipers are also good at that)
There are also negative CP units in all countries offensive doctrines, in the form of observation vehicles, they can be bought like 5 times.
The german observation halftrack has for example has -6CP
This way, if you keep the officers and observation vehicles save, you can get up to 80 free CP.
other doctrines, such as the defensive doctrine you where playing, only has the officers, meaning 50 free CP is the max for you.
Do note that special point officers from the support doctrine from the scorched earth DLC, DO count towards the officer cap, meaning you still cannot have more than 2 officers. But these come with supply drop grenades which can be really usefull.

For the longest time I always said fins were my fav faction b/c of the emplacements lol its all fun and games till someone is smart in pvp and decides to call in the ultimate counter to any emplacement or fortified position.... Artillery...

@@theShermanator Yah I have played maybe 80% of the games I played with finland always doing defense rushs to mid point of the map and like 70% of the time someone just bring rocket arty or just howitzers and just wipes me lol. The concrete bunker does a good job of survival tho.

Finnish heavy engineers really are goated. I like to put an ammo crate directly next to it and use the two riflemen as crew for the gun.

Smth along ur joyfull gameplay made me curious. Is it better to keep the soliders separated - each as a single 'unit', or it it better to keep them as squad? As ur friend does. Cheers
So I PERSONALLY like spreading my guys out, takes a few seconds, or even with the rmb click-hold-drag and separate them, that way one shell/explosions doesnt knock most of em out
@@theShermanator But the upside of keeping them in a ssquad is they automatically share ammo and ease of orders if its the same as Assault squad 2.
@@Yt-gd8ps You can spread them out then drag select them again and they'll be grouped and share ammo while in the spread out positions

Are the bunkers from Valour or am I blind and missed them? (I checked for myself in game, it's vanilla)
Also, I look forward to the hard match, it sounds like it will be a fun watch!
Only the Finnish heavy engineers can do it to give them more punch compared to other factions
Edit: the coastal gun ones are buildable by heavy engineers in vanilla, the rest probably mods cause ive seen mods brought in "base building" such as fortified artillery guns and mg nest

I absolutely love defense in anything, just I wish there was a way where you could select what ways the enemys came from, I enjoy defending against at most 3 axis, anymore is a bitch

Well you can change that now - change the time till first wave, timer between waves, how many resources you have etc
Dont get me wrong i love the GOH videos but i think it would be cool to see you do some old school AS2 videos like you use to do so much. Hell im all the time scrolling thru your videos so i can watch AS2 ones from 7-8 years ago

you can set the timer for both initial starting timer and the timer inbetween each wave
True, I ment the timer for the whole match, the maximum being 120 minutes if I recall correctly.

i wish i never bought this game, for the people with 4k monitors, stay away from it
what's up with it, I have a 1440p but my friend has a 4k and never said anything negative, maybe its with the UI? I guess you could look on their Discord for a fix
exactly, the UI, i looked everywhere for a fix, but the game doesnt have 4k support, there are some workarounds, but you lose the details of 4k resolution . anyway, i had fun not gonna lie in 150 hours
lame mode i was hoping for a more unique gameplay since its singleplayer... its just conquest defense LoL...
i wish they would add more multiplayer game modes already
It's conquest defense without having to invest in a full conquest campaign. It's also more fun
I tried to set this up for a relaxed watch in the bath but the sheer volume of greedy ads is absolutely shameless.
