Marjorie Main, Barry Sullivan, Cedric Harwicke, and Debbie Reynolds also star in this feature directed by two time Oscar nominee Don Hartman (Road to Morocco, The Gay Deception), and boasting music by one of America’s great composers, Harold Arlen! Songs include ‘Andiamo’, ‘Let Me Look At You’, and ‘My Man and My Mule’. (Turner’s voice is dubbed by Trudy Erwin, one of Hollywood’s top ‘uncredited’ singers!)

Holy cow! I thought to myself wow the palm springs niece is so much a Debbie Reynolds type! But it was her! So confused as I understood singing in the rain to be her first movie and that was a major starring role. What happened?

Debbie Reynolds first appeared unbilled in a 1948 film June Bride. She was in three films in 1950. She made this film which was released on March 2, 1951. Singing In the Rain was released March 27, 1952 -- it was her first starring role and it made her a star
