- In this video I start my solo playthrough of "The War of Ring: The Card Game", playing the somewhat shorter scenario "The Fellowship of the Ring" with the official solo mode that comes with the "Against the Shadow" expansion.

Marcus, can you boost your mic? I maxed the volume out (normally at 50 fwiw), and I could barely hear you. Been going on for several videos too.
Thanks for the feedback - indeed it’s a slightly different setup, but it seems ok during editing. Will definitely need to check this out as you are not the only one to notice!
This is weird. Im listening to the video on YT on very normal volume settings (maybe 15-20%) and I have no issues with a low level… But still as there are more comments on this, I may need to dig deeper…
@@realjplay You've always been on the quieter side close to Twitch volume level (bump from 50 to 70-80), but the last few have been a struggle at 100. If a Windows update hasn't messed with your mic settings, I don't know what's going on. YT may be messing with the audio while encoding it. Or ask Santa for a better mic if you can get one in Germany?
@scottsmartky Yeah, it’s a Mac but good to know. Pretty sure I can bump the levels up once I am done with editing (or during editing). Good feedback!
When you have activated a level 2 path thanks to Gandalf skill you could have chosen among the other 2 and not picked one at random. The rules describe this right after the paragraph your read about when to solve a path combat.

I have played the short scensrio with two (2) players as both sides. Easier to understand the Shadow at first. Interesetd to see the solo game :)
Indeed - I should have also played as the shadow player to better understand the options!

@@realjplay I am not sure what is going on either. I could not watch the video, which I was really looking forward to, just because I could not hear it at a comfortable level, even with the volume at max on my laptop.

Nice overview but man listening to you use the same voice cadence a thousand times really was grating on me towards the end of this clip. It's the ever present quick beginning, slow down in the second half and then saying the last word with pauses between while also lowering the voice/tone...is absolutely insufferable. E.g. directly at the beginning 0:13- 0:20, 1:09-1:12, and on and on. Wheeeew
