Oh, Pam! The tears were flowing as you told your Jim story. Exceedingly touching. Being poor has it's benefits - most of us would say that we learned more during those years than at any other time - poor, starving students & newlyweds. On a lighter note, when you speak to Siri, my phone responds! Hysterically funny the first time it happened. Now I simply love it because we share what my daughter calls "a husky voice". You are exactly right when you say "we are a community". It seems that we are all long lost friends who readily step up to help with all things. I thoroughly enjoy you & Jim, your sisters, and the rest of the group. What a blessing to be a part of such a lovely community! xo
My Mother used to make a version of those hot dogs that she called, Pigs in a Blanket. She would just wrap a piece of buttered bread around the hot dog and secure it with a toothpick and put in the oven to toast it. We loved them. Loved your sweet story about you and Jim. He really is a gem to sit out in the mud and mosquitos and write you a poem! That says a lot about him...good guy.😊

I remember my grandmother's canning peaches and tomatoes from her garden. They grew all vegetables they eat she grew potatoes for her years worth she kept in her cellar. My mother did not can. We canned when our children were home. I'm now getting back into canning. Thank you for your videos.

Oh Pam.. I had tears in my eyes when you told the precious love story of you and Jim… it brought back a lot of memories for me also… 22 years ago, I met my second husband/soul mate too…. Dating, and love where the absolute furthest things from my mind. I was almost set on being single for the rest of my life. Long story short I knew Chris was the one for me after only 1 month… we have been married down for 20 years, and have successfully raised 5 amazing humans !!!!!! Thank you for sharing so much of yourselves in your videos. I feel like we friends
Those would be good frozen before the final rise and bake. Then just take them out to thaw and rise, and bake for lunch, as you like, or to take on the road. As you said. You could also bake the bite pieces, individually, and then toss those into a sandwich bag for easy bites. Each bite would rise more evenly around the circumference that way.
