Two foods I can’t do without-high quality chocolate and fresh coffee (bought from my local coffee roaster). I limit myself to a small amount of chocolate and savor it in the evening. I take my wife out to eat only once a month-the rest of the time, I cook for us at home. Stay awesome Felix!! Mike

I also enjoy those two treats 😁especially good coffee is a big passion of mine. Luckily we have a lot of smaller local roasters here in Switzerland. Thank you for your kind comment, Mike! I wish you a great start to your week ☀

I am not on any social media accounts and don't follow trends or fashion. That saves me a lot of money. I also value freedom (and time) more than stuff, which motivates me.
    Lovely video - thank you

I love your videos. You are a blessing to all of us! ❤
While my husband and I have met our financial goals, we still enjoy being mindful with our spending. It reduces stress and makes us feel as though we are doing our part to be mindful in how we live.

Thank you for sharing your ideas of healthier food and better lifestyles. Definitely food cooked at home is much healthier than food outside. Food as well has become very expensive here in the US.🏡🤗❤️

Дуже цікаве та пізнавальне відео, дякую!
Також вважаю, що тренуватись дома можне не гірше, ніж в спортивному залі.
    Вітаю з України!

Really nice video! A little tip that helps me avoid impulse purchases: I snap a photo of the product instead of buying it. It gives me more time to think about it and whether I really need it or just am trying to comfort myself. More often than not I just forget about the product entirely afterwards. 😄

I love your videos. And yes, homecoming is definitely much healthier than food bought outside. Thank you for sharing your ideas of living styles.
It is true that food has become very expensive as well here in the US. 🏡🤗❤️

I still have a some time to pay off my house; with an interest rate of more than 8%, I double or even triple the monthly payment. I just want to be done with it. 😂😅😂 I travelled extensively when I was younger so I don't miss that. I, too, bought expensive things many years ago and I still use them until now. In the long run, they become cheap. I save for small repairs or renovations around the house. Leading a simple slow life is a self-contained life, really.

Hope you don't have too much time left on your mortgage! I'd be the same and would want to pay it off as quickly as possible 😁
You're absolutely right about expensive things becoming cheap in the long run. Cheap things have to be replaced or repaired very often. Bad for the planet and the wallet 😅Have a great week up there in your beautiful country 🍀

Thank you for inspiration 💚 I found out that meal planning and meal prep don't work for me.
I need to revise my subscriptions and decide which ones are worth paying. Happy Saturday 🌼

I can absolutely see how it will not work for everybody ☺ For me it's great because it reduces stress and my spendings but most of the people I know also don't do it.
I wish you a great start to your week! 🙏🍀

Thank you for another wonderful and thoughtful video! I saw your plant based cookbook so this might not pertain to you but I buy protein meats when on sale and put in my chest freezer in my office. Then I can meal plan around them such as having salads next week with thinly sliced flank steak on them next week. I also freeze leftovers in meal size portions to take out and bring to work for lunch in the next month or two so it's not too repetitious.

      @swisssimpleton  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

That is such a great approach with freezing the on sale meats! You're really putting your freezer to good use 😍
At home we cook plant based almost exclusively but still enjoy meat when we're invited somewhere or from time to time eat at a restaurant ☺luckily plant based proteins usually last very long often even without refrigeration 🙏

Frugal doesn't mean childless. It means spending less per person regardless of how many people are in the house. In reality, more people in the house drives down most household costs.
