Generate Plate Mesh in STAAD: Part 6 - Modelling of RC Wall for Design || Shear Wall with Opening

Use of finite element mesh in a structural model is very common. From modelling a slab/floor diaphragm, shear wall, foundation to silo, clarifier or culvert - plate element is used in almost all types of structural model.
In this entire video series on plate mesh generation, I will discuss about different mesh generation approaches and how we can model a plate mesh properly in STAAD following correct procedure.
In this video, I will cover few advanced method of modelling a reinforced concrete wall in STAAD which can be transferred to RCDC module for design. There are few rules and regulation for wall design, like shape of the wall or opening, what are those guideline and how we can achieve that during modelling, that I will cover in detail.

As per my knowledge, no. Only RAM Elements has a standalone module which can design a tilt-up wall/shear wall using FEA results.

Can staad do curved beams sir

I am not sure whether you are referring to analysis or design of curved member, also whether it is curved in plan or elevation. In general, if you model a curve member using curve beam option, the program analyzes the member only at the end, force is not computed at any intermediate point. If this member (curved in plan) is exported to RCDC, then program designs the member considering the end results only, as a straight member.
For more accurate results, best approach is to model it using multiple linear line segments, which can be generated manually, from structure wizard, or using a custom macro.
