I think Sainsbury's (like Wetherspoons) pay Google to make sure they're visible on the map, so you have to remember that sometimes it'll be easier to spot them than a suburb name like Blackheath.
You seem to be better with Weatherspoons than stadiums 😂 hmm. Funny about Newmarket. You had the cursor on it 3 times without noticing it but I know it easier when you are just watching 😊
I've been to 3 of these actual places (Manchester, Xscape and Whitby) and recognised the Spoons in all 3 places, though I've only been to 2 of them. In fact, my mum was literally only on about The Angel in Whitby a couple of hours ago! The Winter Seam is the most local one to me (I live in Leeds) and one I've been in a few times. I was only at the shopping part next to Xscape (Junction 32 Outlet Village) 2 weeks ago, though I didn't visit the Spoons on that occasion unfortunately!
The spelling of Teesside anecdote made me laugh. I'm from there (and have drank in the plimsoll line) and we don't half get precious about the spelling for some reason 😂
Game 1: 24, 817. I THINK my highest Geoguessr score ever. Very happy with that. A couple of gimmes though. Knowing Blackheath and Northfield 9I'm based in Birmingham) certainly helped with the final two. I WAS convinced that Aylesbury was up North for a LONG time. Game 2: 24, 390. Beginning to think only Birmingham and London are in this map! Game 3: 23, 477 First round and I can't even find the right town. I think I peaked early today. Still, three fairly solid rounds. Clearly pubs are easier than stadia. Not sure what that says about me.
Don't worry about it Dan even us locals in the Black Country can't even agree on where it begins and ends. I lived abroad for over tens years as a kid, which means I never developed the thick accent I sound more Brummie. I was forever being asked what part of Birmingham I was from when I was on the taxis.
Tried to play this as a German and it made me so angry, that everything in this town was labelled with "Red Car Town", until it revealed the actual position and there is a town called Redcar?!
Out of the spoons you had i’ve been to these ones, i remember you doing this map on stream and it made me fall in love with geoguessr! The booking office ✅ Shakespeare Head ✅ The bell hotel ❌ the britannia ❌ The black horse ❌ Wetherspoons piccadilly ✅ Baxter’s court ❌ the red well ❌ the william tyler ❌ the plimsoll line ❌ the golden lion ❌ the winter seam ❌ the monks retreat ❌ the white swan ❌ the wallaw ❌ I’ve been to 132 different spoons 💀
I'm just going to pin an apology here for all the times it was literally on the screen and I didn't see it.

Last but no least my stopping ground, the glorious Wallaw. It’s pronounced as The ‘Woll-La’ It’s an old cinema that closed about 20 years ago…
1st thing is always a pint of Doom bar 💯

Not my words Thomas, the words of Shakin' Stevens.

@@shnicky4ever haha brilliant! Which one would you recommend visiting the most out of the three??

i just got this video on my home page after asking a question about the battersea power station on a random tiktok video today, spooky
Haha! Welcome to TH-cam. For the record- I do like Battersea Power Station, it's just very posh.
Never been to a Wetherspoons. Why support Tim Martin when there are other options?

Haha thank you! What would Smethwick be classed as? Also thanks as ever for watching! 🙌🙌
@@DanBTF It's Black Country.
I lost count the number of times your cursor went directly over Newmarket!
Not my best performance that 🤣
3 mins in and you've already missed it and gone over it 😭 Dan BTF heritage
😂😂😂😂 I watch it back like Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar banging on the wall 5th dimension crying and shouting
Is there a specsavers map?
😂😂
Haha, First one and he kept waving the cursor around it while saying where is it? Not going to bother watching the rest.
😂😂🤣
Can't believe I'm saying this but I've been to 4 of those Spoons 😂
A Spoons veteran! 🎖️ Thanks for watching 🙌
24,954 on game 2, just couldn't quite get 5000 in the Birmingham one

@@DanBTFotherwise really nice rounds to refresh British geography, 24‘024 in the third round was actually a pretty good score for my UK Knowledge
