about to watch the video but I had a few map scanning horrors there! would have had 25k on the last round but I could not for the life of me find West Street despite getting the town very early on. Nice of them to throw a few repeats, I notice you didn't 5k The Fish Hoose on the second go so I'm interested to see what went wrong there.
Rookie error, Dan, to play an 89-loc map multiple times... (You must know the old riddle about what's the chances of two kids in the same class having the same birthday?)
@@DanBTF Castleford and the Five Towns, West Yorkshire. To be fair, they are a bit more triangular than breadcakes. BTW, buns in this area are cupcakes
No way! I didn't see it. I only saw this, and another map that had 5 locations. I'm going to revisit the Spoons map, and then I'll play your fish and chips shop map too! Most likely next month. What's your username on GeoGuessr so I can make sure it's the right one?
It's a bread bun, and you went to my local chippy 😊
zooms into sign saying 'Harpdenden Young People's Centre'
"Hmm, don't think I'm gonna find it."
This is very on-brand for me.
That’s a roll.
My nearest chippy on the video! Station Park helped you, I recognised the Thornton one from a football ground Geoguessr.
Definitely a roll. I was disappointed they didn't include a chippy from the home of the UK's best chips.
It’s a barm cake. As in, I’d like a fish barm with scraps please
that’s a roll or dinner roll

Suddenly have an overwhelming urge for some cod & chips...
Only ever known that as a bun or a breadbun. We have bigger ones called stotties.
Stotty or Fadge. Obviously.
Teacake or Breadcake, but the other terms are perfectly valid.
Both are audacious. What part of the country is that from?
@@DanBTF West Yorkshire. I'm from Dewsbury myself....
It's a Roll
Depends what goes in it. If it's bacon, it's a bacon bap. If it's just normal sandwich stuff then it's a roll.
A roll. I would only call it a bap if it had a floury coating.
Not watched it yet but there better be a heap of Scottish places here. Scottish fish is amazing
Scotland does feature several times- whether or not I actually find it when it does is a different matter.
Took the bait and went St Leonards by Hastings :-(
Depends of where I am, that‘s a Brötchen or a roll

To answer your question of the video, texture matters. If it's soft then it's a bun, and if it's hard/crusty it's a roll
What region is that? In the south I'd say it's a soft roll or a crunchy roll. Could also have a bap which is a bit wider with a floury top.
In Swedish that’s called fralla
It's a scuffler
A scuffler?! That's new to me. What region is that from?

That’s a cob
Shame you didn’t have a crack at my map “Fish & Chip.Shops of the UK”. Over 7,000 locations

Great game! Just had a go myself (Richter Scale)
@@DanBTF jamesm
We call it a cob in Leicestershire however I'm pretty sure that's only a Leicester thing
Cob is rogue to me! Might start using that 😂
Yeah chip cob, bacon cob, cheese cob etc ❤️
You would have been better turning left coming out of Westhill Shopping Centre.
Nottingham = COB
Cob
A bap
it's a bap
