Exactly.. I miss the days I came home from school and searched for "track". Your party members spamming "OUT!!!" citing that the party inside has exited the map and it's time to click like hell.
That satisfaction of being a team leader watching your screen turned black, knowing that you've beaten 3 other parties to enter the map. Your members being so proud of you. "NICE!!!".

The days of having a track and everyone wanted you in their party, seeing they left the PQ and spam clicking, the party that was just in there comes flying in with haste and clicking themselves. What a ridiculous system that created so many memories haha
I was thinking the same thing after the pq ended on the vid lol
I also remember we used to send one guy out to scout and see if there is another party ambushing us outside. Once we see no one is out there, we will tell the party to come out. But then some parties countered it by asking their members to hide in different parts of kerning city. Because as long as the members are in the same map, the leader can just click on the npc and sent everyone in the party into the PQ. We were playing death note without even realising it.

Ive been scammed back in the day whenever i had track they invited me in only to expell me and steal my track. Ever since i remember always camping out a channel to get my track and make the party myself.
Maplestory is just the best game we possibly could've played in our childhood. I'm so happy I have experienced this in my life. Damn just watching this whole video. This game really was something else. This is literally the best thing that has ever happened, and will ever happen in my life. Someday I will make maplestory music popular
Yeah rewatching these old videos like this and pig beach and slime tree and Ludi PQ. Brings back so many memories when I played maple 2005-2010 middle/high school just so glad like you said my childhood and memories forever

maplestory has become such a major impact in so many people's life to the point u just need to listen to the sound effects and you KNOW what it is. its so crazy when u think about it
When I played MapleStory, I was so young I barely even knew what was happening, but I immediately recognised Kerning city when I saw it today. I remember doing something cool on my way there, I can't remember what, it was something to do with leveling up, like I got to a certain level and got to pick a class or something. My random-ass mountain-scaling journey to actually get to Kerning City took me forever, and when I finally got there I felt like I had found this secret place that nobody else knew about, because it was so different from Henesys and I was the only one there. Man I loved MapleStory.

Party quest is the best thing that keep me play this game in that day. I miss this so muchhhhhh😢 I try to play new version but it doesn’t feel like the old one.

I miss my childhood playing this game and interacting with everyone..
doubt anyone's gonna read this, but anyone else used to "smuggle" coupons and cards for quick levelling? I remember learning how from another guy, pulling out your ethernet cable for just a second, then spamming the pickup button lmao. then when henesys PQ came out, there was a lure strategy for the rice cakes, where one guy would lure all the mobs into one space away from the bunny, while it just kept making mooncakes. sometimes it'd get to the point where you could smuggle out like 30+ mooncakes in one 10 minute PQ. It was awesome.

That was a thing? then again i was a young kid so i probably wouldn't have payed too much attention as to what was happening
YES haha this was sooooo fun :) kinda cheeky but super fun. You could do this in ludi pq as well, then you would send 1 guy out as a scout to see if there was another party waiting in that channel then he would give the all clear when they left so you could get the insta re que haha then next level scouters would even copy down any competing party members names so if they did manage to get in before your squad you scouter would share the names and track the other group in the PQ with /find and it would tell you where they were in the PQ XDD so much fun!!

Kerning was my favourite PQ by far. KPQ, pig beach, and hunting grounds were the best lol.

Seriously wanna cry. I miss being a kid exploring og maple with my friends. The community was so different. Downloaded ms again last year and almost max leveled a character over night... I felt so lonely... the game felt so lifeless. Sad.
I miss the boat rides, avoiding balrogs, and hanging out in henesy. I never made it past level 50, I was always so busy talking to friends, helping lower levels, exploring, wedding parties, guild parties, drop parties.
this game was really great when it was at its peak. I believe it's all the different classes that ruined the game

Back when the game was filled with soul. You had to work as a party to do contents together, it was always more efficient that way and it was so much fun. Also, back when your damage numbers actually mean something.
Now your numbers are so inflated, they don't mean anything. What's 555555555 or 455050505? When numbers get this big, it gets pointless.

I've been playing Maplesea (closed beta) and RO (closed beta) since 2004, back then the server was crowded with players. The grinding for exp and top spot for highest level character is crazy... the best part is the party quest and group hunting together with friends and strangers =) the bad part is there are too many hackers, cc pls, and too much grinding... wasted a lot of time... If I could turn back time, I would spend my time with studying or learning programming skills.

The last time I logged out of MS it was like 2007-- game is unrecognizable today, you just see flashy cash shop numbers flying across your screen. I get that games have to evolve, but in my opinion cash shop ruined everything. It should have been used for things like different Omok pieces, etc., not ridiculously distracting aesthetics. It's total information bombardment; nothing feels as satisfying as Magic Claw finally one shotting green mushrooms back in the day when the numbers were kept low. I think they could have scaled accuracy and attack/defense better to mitigate this.

Remember taking the flying ship to Orbis and sheltering in the cabin when Balrogs attacked? Or trying to find a party for the Kerning City PQ? My older brother told me I could join any party as a cleric.
I remember meeting a GM and the crowd that followed him (his name was Vitamin6). I remember stocking up on and selling a limited edition shield for ridiculous profits (just after the pirate class released).
So many memories.... My only regret is I never got around to making a Bowman.
