That's a good point that you bring up. The player's might lack respect for Berhalter. Might be because of what happened in the past, and maybe they get indications that he's not at the same caliber as their club coaches. Either way it's hard to instill discipline as a coach when your team doesn't respect you. And I think the team lacks discipline as well as comradery. Some of those smaller nations' players would put their life on the line for their country and their teammates.
Man this could be off topic a little but I remember in 2021 we had Daryl Dike on loan at Barnsley. And omg that lad was outstanding. Goals galore he was too good for us anyway 😂😂 I was certain he was going to the very top. It's been sad to see how injuries have plagued his career since that loan ended. 😢 We do have another American at Barnsley currently Donovan Pines who has looked great but only seen him play 4 times because of injuries. But he does have 2 caps for the national team.

The Uruguay loss didn’t really hurt me all that bad. We played lazy in the attacking 1/3 for the game and we seemed happy to try and let Bolivia tie or beat Panama. Not getting out of the group is what makes me the most frustrated. We underachieved and that’s the sting of it.
I agree, I just want America to do will this upcoming world cup and its a shame they can't even at least show steady progression.
Great video. I agree with the overall analysis. To be honest I never understood why USA soccer always chokes in games like these. Is it a mentality thing? I think there is a huge amount of talent in the squad. Nevertheless, the hit that led to the red card was completely reckless. What a shame and humiliation for the team to go out this way. I blame the player for his action, he cost the team a great run and he needs to grow up. No matter what people call you, you need to keep a calm mind and show it on the field. I don't think this has anything to do with experience either, because if you remember Zidane had a headbutt in a World Cup FINAL!!! This is something that needs to be instilled from early on in their career. Keep it up. Great content!
