SOLE SLIP looks at James Stirling’s 01 class of the South Eastern & Chatham Railway. Of which, No 65, has a dark preservation history.
This is an original documentary produced by me and my friends, starring my creations and myself. I required no permission to film on any of the premises featured in this production.
The music, images and artwork are my own creations unless otherwise stated.

Restorations often do have interesting stories behind them.
The one I know is about the Slovenian 06-018 "Borsig" locomotive. She was restored a total of 3 times. Originally the museum stated operating steam locos, then for the 100th anniversary of the Bohinj railroad and finally again last year.
The reason for having to be restored 3 times is that she kept braking down. And at one point even had her axle bearings stolen.

Hey, it's just like 3813 down here in Oz, it's dismantled with it's parts scattered around various preservation societies due to a fallen through restoration attempt
Though given it's in Dorrigo, fat chance of it being rebuilt

3813 is basically used as spare parts to keep 3801 going as the boiler from 3813 is currently on 3801 as the newly welded boiler was deemed too big for 3801

Fantastic camera moves, finely exposed HD pictures and the usual excellently informed voice-over. Great quality.

Hello Chris Eden Green please can you make a sole slip TH-cam video about SE&CR C class number 592

I don't know why, but I pronounce the SE&CR part of the name "Seeker." Huh...maybe that should be the engine's name?

This engine and the Bluebell Railway featured in the 1996 live-action film The Wind in the Willows which starred Monty Python (pretty much) and derailed by Mr Toad - sorry, Terry Jones. I mean, come on - where's the 00 model of them?

I love the Victorian era steam trains more then the ones later on, not saying I hated the later one!
