- In this video I will be showing tips and tricks with Stormtroopers. I think that this unit is underated and hoped to convinse players that are doubtfull about using at. I aslo try to show the benefits of using this unit to convince current or maybe newer players that are playing company of heroes 2.

in fact they are, they will lose to any allied counterpart. In the examples in the video the enemy units stay still and if you look closely you will spend a considerable amount of ammunition to get things done and still most of the time they will not work. They work to close the pocket or as a scanning unit. Even so, the video is very explanatory in terms of the skills of the unit.
they used to be a great unit, then allied players cried and got nerfed to the ground, it is the whorst cost/efective unit in game and it is hard to play them correctly vs human players

Stormtroopers are not assault infantry. They are infiltrators and excel at ambushes. Using them like Shock Troops or Paratroopers will cause casualties.
However, if you want them on the front lines, give them G 43s, and they will perform really well.
In truth they are a good unit for any tactical engagement. Problem is the allies are nothing but a blob fest. Because of that successfully using ambush tactics becomes extremely difficult and leaves players with worse micro skills unable to use STs in matches. Its not easy to use 4 different squads for a successful ambush against 4 enemy line infantry lmg equipped squads when you lack a throwable high explosive (regular grenade/satchel charge).
Extremely helpful tip videos with more or less accurate scenario examples that we may see in a game. Keep up the good work. Subscribed.

Also, be careful when using Tactical Assault around units that have grenades.

Tactical Assault increases the damage the Stormtroopers take as well.
You should only use it to wipe weapon crews or snipers since they don't deal much damage to the Stormtroopers in return.
When you ambush enemy infantry from camouflage your Stormtroopers already get a strong bonus on their damage output, thus you don't need to combine it with Tactical Assault unless the Stormtroopers are in heavy cover.
at medium range in cover the 50% accuracy bonus negates the 50% RA malus, because it makes stormtroopers have the best medium range DPS in the game, which is where they shine.

I am glad I found this video. I did not even notice they go invisible when in cover. Good to know they are an ambush unit not an assault unit. Thanks so much for theclarification. 👍

th-cam.com/video/3uliskjU2G0/w-d-xo.html Every unit who can camouflage, has different stats how many models needs to be in cover in order them to be invisible. Some units can move while cloaked etc.
What these and the rest of the infiltration units need is the ability to reload weapons like the mgs have. It is not normal that you go to make an ambush and they start reloading just as the first bullet is fired.
Actually you cant do ambush to skilled opponent if you capturing point behind enemy lines. Opponent player will notice it and will counter. You can do good ambush without capturing points doing max damage and retreat.
Yeah, yesterday axis players tried "Close the pocket" on us, ability had time to shoot 3 shells before we took cut offs back :) And yeah, its better to keep them hidden behind capture point, because I notice right away if point is not decapturing, so I eaither move away or throw a nade in the nearest cover :D
The Elite Troops version with the elite G43s could have been expanded on further.
Elite G43s (found on Panzer Grenadiers and Stormtroopers) stock damage is not that much different from a KAR98 while stationary. What makes them special is their moving accuracy. The negative modifiers from firing on the move with elite G43s are tiny, and the squad retains nearly 90% of its stationary DPS while on the move. (most weapons operate at ~50% efficiency on the move) This makes them incredibly good at chasing down fleeing squads.
While the G43 version loses Tactical Assault, it has vastly superior mid to long range firepower, and is every bit as good at chasing down fleeing squads as their MP-40 armed counterparts.
G43 Stormtrooper get 3 G43s instead of the usual 2 found on Pzgrens and Grens so there actually better

@@BlitkriegsAndCoffee Oh yeah correction 3 but Storm has better Vets tho and utility Stun nade, Smoke nade, Camo (for recon), Booby Trap and Passive healing. Plus if you have Pzgren Bulletins like increase acc and Stormtrooper increase acc they all stack together
@@karlcraft2496 Vet bonuses they get are not that much better, they get 3% more accuracy but PGrens get 2% received accuracy bonus. And bundlenade is better then entire utility Storms get, less micro and muni intensive also. Stun nade is just related to Elite troops doctrine, not their standard arsenal. Plus PGrens will have mp44 as 4th weapon which has better dps up until range 31 compared to kar98 Storms get. PGrens are superior in every possible way except in scouting. This unit is a noob trap.
@@amaratc No it's not imo if you want brute assault force then go ahead get Pzgren G43 if you want Ukf Commandos esque inf get Stormtroopers also you failed to mention that Stormtroopers base stat or RA (Received Accuracy) is one of the lowest one (combine that with intel bulletins from Pzgrens that affects Stormtroopers and Vet 3 which they get -29% Received Accuracy) and combine that with their ability to camo there suited for their job of infiltration. Plus the single Kar98k of Stormtroopers when you give them G43 makes a huge difference when it comes to long range engagement compare that to Pzgren single Stg44 when they have G43s. It's a noob trap if you use this as a assault shock unit you use this inf like commandos

You can spawn them only from buildings
Its also blocked if the enemy has troops inside said buildings

Dont use tac advance if enemy has nades. Otherwise they will die even if you retreat
omg, didnt know they are that powerful, i always thought they are garbage with mp40 and never used them
