I know everyone will have their interpretation of this process, but for me while it initially seems like an intimidating amount of commitment it becomes serenely validating to think of putting your own signature through the skills and details of every step of the process however small or large. It doesn’t just make your process unique but validates every fold of the creation as part of you. I feel like for alot of artists, it’s that feeling that seems like it’s missing. I think examples of how deeply you can embody something will be empowering to many artists who watch this and who long to feel and validate themselves in their process. The process is uniquely human and inspirational in it’s embodiment. I am thankful it was shared.
It was so relaxing to watch! The light spells on the floor, you creating, your pug, the colours... The cardboard dog turned out great! And the painting on the wall - gorgeous as always. Fantastic studio!😍
Genius. Serene, enchanting and beautiful. Your Victorian black dress was perfect and so artistic to include you wearing it in your wonderful painting. To make a tableu of your painting prior to painting the canvas is very skilful and inspirational. ❤😊
I just landed in your universe this morning……WOW! I was captured immediately. Your work is stunning. Soooo creative and mesmerizing. So ORIGINAL. I want to see more. Subscribing and returning 🦋
You create your own world , your own reality. A fairytale word and you belong to it. It is very special position and it is super that you found it. Absolutely fabulous pictures. Greetings from Germany. Ulrike😊
Lovely work! A fascinating process though I must admit, as a child of an artist and knowing her circle of other painters, I've never seen one who painted in clothes that weren't covered in dabs of paint. ☺
I adore your work Alice! It has been such a long time since I have seen so inspiring , authentic, modern but in the same time so poetic art. Thank you 🙏💗
really good work!! such a treat to see an artist in the studioX. When you came back with the outfit change after setting up the cardboard scene if you had cardboard hair that would be perfection, thanks for sharing X
The process was crammed into a few minutes but took hours and days ..so great editing ..All very renaissance and magical, yet contemporary and inspiring.
@@AliceHerbst1 oh lovely, it would be good of you to reference the musician. We could all start listening to them, too, and say "that stunning artist Alice Herbst put me onto this. I hope to buy a piece of her art one day and listen to this on vinyl while I admire this unique and timeless work in my home."
Hello! I see this comment so often, and even though I understand where it comes from it is in my opinion odd that people comment on it all the time. Is it really so strange? You do not know how much my clothes cost, in fact, everything I paint in was bought second hand for a price that I have been very lucky with. I would obviously not paint in something expensive that I am afraid to get paint on. I also am not the one to throw paint around, I paint very methodically. When I used to wear an apron no paint got on it so it did not make sense. Dressing up is no crime. :) This is another way I like to express myself.
Since I do not get paint on me when painting and it would feel like it was staged if I dressed up as "people's idea" of an artist just to please others expectation. It is ok with me if it does not make sense to you, we are all different! I just wish people would be open to accept that not everyone needs to dress the same in their field if it is not necessary.

Muy interesante tu propuesta. Dentro de la contemporanedad adoptas esa preparación previa a la pintura como en la antigüedad. Maravilloso
so intensely feminine. so original. so technically adept and adventurous. beautiful, forceful art making.

Love to watch this BTS thanks for sharing Alice ! How long do you wait before mounting it on canvas as it's oil ?
Thank you so much! I wouldn't mount it on bars by myself so soon but I do it at a professional framer that has it done around a month after. :)
fascinating

Rich girl enjoying her hobby…..
Damn!!
It should be blindingly obvious that she is way beyond the hobby artist level.
