I have been doing martial arts since 1987. Karate, kung fu, jujutsu. That is the most bad ass simple thing I have ever seen. I am giving you all a call.
Here's the reality that seems to be passing over many people's intelligence: Martial arts is NOT what you see on the TV or Movie Screen... And yes the brother brought about a very good principle but at the same time I can see he's not explaining the truth completely or he hasn't been in a real live fighting situation because real knowledge to even comment on anything concerning Combat has to come from someone who has real experience in a live fighting for your life situation and so therefore the knowledge can't come from someone who doesn't have any in-depth knowledge to understand the reality of real live combat... And you Cannot debunk this program but at the same time I can say this: in reality if you are not faster or quicker than light-speed with that kind of knowledge you will fail unless your attacker is an immature fighter ... Been there done that, "For Real"just so you're not thinking I'm just running off talk and no experience in a live fighting situation...🤔 If not one but 9 people are attacking you then how do you get out of that situation? That's the reality of today because it's not like back in the day now... And yes I've defeated over 9 persons who thought I was one of the common folk and so, who got schooled but them... Yes, I'm a seasoned combat instructor and I've been in real live fighting for your life situations.... I'm almost 70yrs now and so experience will always prevail...
You should try Wing Chun then. I would have been disappointed if he didn't do something like that because that's all I was thinking from the beginning of the video. I watched to the end to see what he was going to show ready to disagree but didn't need to
Great video. That way you show what REALLY happens both with the ineffective typical martial arts techniques and your truly effective techniques is priceless! I say this from a 50 year background in the martial arts.
That's amazing, but so true, cause like you said Professor James, the head controls the body, where the head is pointing, the body will follow. And I like the Ric Flair imitation styling and profiling baby.
That was my guess Sir. I waited for the end of the video to see if I was right. Kicking straight in or in an Oblique style to the legs are kinda of a cheat move for me. I find it helpful in similar situations to what you showed here as well as when someone has a high level of hand skills.
A art like self-defense martial arts it’s always developing itself and never stops a warrior never stops studying tactical intelligence advantages wherever in the world he may live in general it’s the same but in some places you have to know all your advantages that you’re not accustomed to in the right in front of you I notify you to survive great point I had to stop and watch all
NOTHING BUT RESPECT!!!! By far the Professor is the TRUTH! I been around and worked with some of the most gifted martial artists and boxers the military has to offer. Not one in my personal opinion is as direct and to the point effective as the Professor. I got people at Nellis Air Force Base hooked. Again Thank you for the best self defense content and street fight logic on the internet. Respect
Very good video. After watching season 2 of ultimate self defense championship it was scary to see how many times trained martial artist got stabbed in a 20 second period.
It’s a beautiful example that you display here because distraction distracting a opponent works most of the time if you’re good at what you do brother do you look like you may be brother God bless your dojo you’re fighting School
What fascinates me is the number of views are in the thousands compared to 406 smash this channel's like button. I know by the numbers, you viewers are watching, in my opinion your ego is preventing you from hitting the like button, so do yourself a favor drop your dojo ego biases because you're anonymous (unknown, not identified). Nobody is going to your guro, sifu, kwanjangnim, graduate, kru, sensei, mestre, hanshi, dashi, provost to report you, I believe they too are watching. I am advocating it' doesn't hurt to show your like, it's just a number that I am asking you to give to this life saving knowledge. In the or end of the day it's about us all getting home to our loved ones. I am going to say thank you in advance for your support.
I just wanna point out one thing the master teaching this is that a high-level folks and confident in most people can never make it to that level the freeze the panic and everything that they study for a little while will fail them so you have to stick to self-defense as a lifetime God bless all good men that fight for the right reasons for self-defense or to protect someone being home by a evil person
Fab advice. The Sensei at my school always advised put distance between you and the knife as you can never guarantee taking control of the knife hand however good you believe you might be at knife defence. On the street one never knows how good the person attacking you is at fighting so essential you get outta there fast. Great non technical, effective moves DJ. Love em! I haven't looked at all your videos yet but what would be great is some self defence psychology advice, what I mean is how to manage the fear. How does one overcome the instinct to "freeze" when threatened by a bigger and more confident opponent? I'm probably fortunate to have had years of training in the military and also through sparring and practice at my martial arts school so I can turn my switch on pretty quick to a situation. What about advice to those without that background on how to psychologically manage?
It really doesn't matter what style of martial arts you practice!!! Every teacher, master, practitioner must also practice and teach the art of deception. In self defense, your primary goal is to change or distract the attackers focus. Then get out!! of that ring of fire by any means necessary and give a good punishment. GREAT LESSON SIR!!!. you remind me so much of my kung fu master/ Shifu he passed away. may his soul rest in peace. THANK
Ninpo taijustsu is like that, Bruce Lee also believed in the most simple direct approach. The issue with Martial Artists is the overuse of techniques, or trying to.
Yes sir, Good concepts, for a Man, of about the same size and weight. For someone who fits the “victim” profile (smaller, shorter, esp a woman or elder) it will be very difficult, esp the face tap. Fortunately, if he’s not already poking you up, his mind isn’t 100% on harming you. Calm + Verbal de-escalation is best for them. Then they can hold that wall-kick defense in their back pocket just in case the guy gets bloodthirsty.
A martial artist can't escape of destiny of looking for elegance and always seek perfection of Movements, Obviously a real fight is different it's all About survive and brutality.
In demonstrations Martial Artists made the Techiniques look beautiful of purpose but every experienced fighter know in reality what's matter is being effetive.
A Wing Chun person knows this. The only surprise for me was that you did the simple finger jab and the knee kick. I knew I would do it but I wasn't expecting you to do it. I was watching the video know what I would do as a Wing Chun martial artist. So was I expecting that as you asked yes it's exactly what I would of done. My Sifu has told us about letting the wall support us ect. Nice video but I still wish you wouldn't shout. There is no need for it, not all the way through. You don't have to shout to get your point across. It doesn't have the effect that you want anyway, we can just turn it down lol
my brother is not a martial arts master, he has never trained anything, but he fought a lot on the street and in prison, and once, when I was a kid, he told me a way to defeat any opponent, a finger in the eye and a kick in the genitals,hi can weigh 200 kg or 50, it doesn't matter.
Professor I’m guessing that’s us Michael jai white and Master Wong , I told Priscilla / Jennifer her name is told reciting that I told my trainer if refuse train your style with James and mark like a lot of instructors full of themselves and boastful so Timi kipiki so I quit before it even started I said the to Greenleaf muzzy and Sensei Ade and the same with jason self defence kappap Global and lastly new Michelle Dalston we will to see if teaches your mentor and style because it was simple like ray and Macy’s Tyrellwoyld thought of that body mechanics etc all radio stations and Television
Good video, but why you screaming for, in your instructions, most people are not deaf, but if you keep screaming, they're going to have to wear ear plugs, to stop damage to their hearing.
Seems you are much to acquaint to one style. The arm grip you showed, basic Jiu Jitsu, that move you to the side away from knive. But you not used body mechanics than to subdue mind. A small clap at upper arm cause reflex in the arm . Via arm shoulder torsion put opponent at the ground face to the ground. Small reflex in the brain Block STABBING. In the arm a lot of nerves. Reflex movement overrule conscious attack. If Aikido expert would use small nerve reflex in the pulse. Without knowing why , agressors kneel. You seems to prefer ISRAËL KRAVAMAGA approach. Side kick at inner thighs to cause reflex. Break posture of attack completely. But when your style works for you, stay loyal to it. USA ARMY train brute force style. That's too their WEAKNESS. When tired, you break easy. Brute FORCE follow LOW IQ.
Less talky, talky, more fighty, fighty. I would have rather viewed the short. Good redirect. You have to remember most people that are interested in these videos. Have some sort of experience. Get to the point.
Ganz ehrlich, zwar informatives Video, aber dieses ständige Gebrülle nervt einfach und du bist kaum zu vetstehen. Wird wohl das einzige Video sein, welches ich mir anschaue.
I have been doing martial arts since 1987. Karate, kung fu, jujutsu. That is the most bad ass simple thing I have ever seen. I am giving you all a call.
Respect! Straightforward and to the point. The quicker the attacker feels pain, the quicker you can make your escape. Keep the information coming!
There you go again Professor DJ and Kenny , keeping it real and simple. Much respect and love for you guys.

I like his teaching he gets straight 2 the point no messing about proper street defence amazing
I bet you've never said Wing Chun was amazing before. That's all this is. We do this in class on a regular basis
This guy shouts so loud, even with the speakers at 1%, it feels like the volume is turned up at 100%.
Professor and Kenny I am running out of accolades. You collective combat wisdom is simply outstanding. Thank you for sharing.
Exactly! Focus on the real 'weapon' - the attacker's brain/nervous system.
I appreciate that greatly.
I admit I didn't even see that one coming ! Good one!!
You should try Wing Chun then. I would have been disappointed if he didn't do something like that because that's all I was thinking from the beginning of the video. I watched to the end to see what he was going to show ready to disagree but didn't need to
Thanks Master!!!
Professor Dave, this one has been thumbs up ,👍🏾 and shared…
Can't lie it is a damn good video
Great video. That way you show what REALLY happens both with the ineffective typical martial arts techniques and your truly effective techniques is priceless! I say this from a 50 year background in the martial arts.

I like your style. Simple, direct, effective. Thanks sensei.
Best video yet. Brutal honesty

Simplicity is the way...as Bruce Lee said. Great!
Respect! "Body Mechanics"!
Outstanding job well done my man.
Thanks for sharing! That was easy!
perfectly explained..best on the net.

@@ninjafeet7915 Guy kept shouting so much, my ear needed self defense, from going deaf lol.🦻

Great knowledge Professor 👍 Thank you 🙏 Osu
In wrestling, I was taught that" whatever way your head goes your body goes" this is a prime example
You’re a genius bro, You got my sub no doubt 100%
I swear I thought the guy holding the knife was Will Smith. Excellent video. Another subscriber to the channel.

Just one question, why is he yelling that loud? Is he deaf?
SO WERE GONNA MOE ,LARRY, CURLY 3 STOOGES POKE EM IN THE EYE!🤣🤣🤣 (👁🗨👈)
Don't yell at me
Why is this guy screaming 😂. (Great advice though my ears hurt !)
