  • What a way to start the weekend! Hanging out with the cows at the foot of the extinct volcanic Breidden Hill in Powys, Wales, near the town of Welshpool.
    Breidden Hill is one of five peaks with neighbouring Moel y Golfa, with Rodney's Pillar sitting at the top; built by the men of Montgomeryshire who supplied oak wood from the local area.
    Featured in this video, is the large quarry that eats into the western / northern sides of the hill.

    Impressive hill Alastair. I just got on the map and checked out there it was. Up there near Welshpool. I'll have to remember that if ever i'm up that way. Thanks for sharing. Mark

    when are they going to stop quarrying that hill, its a sacred site. i have seen it a thousand time when i was young.
