Once you've put the batteries into the correct location next to the box on the small table under the framed picture on the wall, there is a button that looks like a light bulb above them. You press this button, and the thing it connect to lights up with an arrow pointing to the right. This light is actually a projector pointing onto the ceiling onto a heart. If you look at the ceiling, the heart up there now has an arrow on it pointing to the left. Make note of the orientation of the arrow within the heart or take an in-game photo of it to remember (I just remembered that it was pointing left if the "v" of the heart is pointing down). When completing the hearts and arrows puzzle, assume every heart has an arrow oriented in this same way. Your goal of the puzzle is to get from the starting arrow to the ending arrow. So the first heart you encounter is oriented so that the "v" of the heart is pointing to the right. That means the arrow inside the heart would be pointing downward. Then you rotate the next arrow (the one in the bottom left corner) to go in the only direction you can without going backwards or hitting a wall - to the right. The next heart you encounter is oriented so that the "v" of the heart is pointing upward. This means the arrow inside the heart would be pointing right. You continue this way until you can get to the final arrow. Hope the explanation helped! :)
So the lines represent division. The first digit is 5 (found on the toilet paper) divided by 1 (found in the second cabinet unlocked by the colored arrow puzzle; the cabinet on the bottom right of the screen when looking at the room with two plants on the counter and a hanging plant in the upper right corner) which equals 5 (5/1=5). The second digit is 8 (found in the box unlocked by the 5 light puzzle whose answer was on, off, on, on, off) divided by 2 (found in the same spot as the 1 from before) which equals 4 (8/2=4). The third digit is .35 (located in the box unlocked by the orange key) divided by .5 (found in the same spot as the 1 from the first digit's solution and the 2 from the second digit's solution) which is 7 (0.35/0.5=7). The last digit is 16 (found in the first cabinet with the jackolantern) divided by 8 (found in the same place as the 1 from the first digit, the 2 from the second digit, and the .5 from the third digit) which equals 2 (16/8=2). I hope that explanation helped. :)
@@stella_dxo its to represent the math signs: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The three slanted lines is subtraction, the spoon symbol is division, the mountain symbol is addition, and the last one is multiplication. just use the numbers and the sign to make the exact number the monster has on its body.
