    Just for future reference 08-14 STI/wrx is base off the 05-09 Legacy. So almost everything from 08-14 Wrx/STI will work on the Legacy. I mentioned it to Tanner about a month ago. Good job on the Legacy.

    • @MatlasDI

      Had figured that was the case. If something hasn't been available for the outback/legacy in the past I've always just bought GR parts and they've worked, even seat rails, etc.

    • @MatlasDI

      Samee, car is so close. 🙏 Chewie was making 400/440, but we pulled and sold the shortblock and most of the components off it. It'll get a new setup running a 6466, so hoping to around double the horsepower on this next iteration. Did you ever end up putting a fmic on the Outback ? I’m looking everywhere to see if I could pull off getting a fmic on my xt without chopping it up to much or maybe it would be better to stick with aftermarket top mount .

    • @MatlasDI
      @MatlasDI  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @jjequihua8842 Before teardown, I still had the grimmspeed topmount that was modified for speed density. It did well and honestly felt more responsive in daily driving than the front mount, likely due to the shorter piping. I have a different front bumper on the outback, so I'll be going custom with this next setup to limit having to chop that bumper up. I've seen people run various front mounts without having to do a ton of work. I'd just be mindful during of where the charge piping comes out of the core. That's typically the issue rather than fitting the core itself due to the huge foglight housings protruding from the backside of the bumper 👍

      Yeah always a lot of moving things back and forth. Was sad about the Moroso, tried real hard to keep it on there. Was very unfortunate. Might work on the outback depending on mounts for the AMS manifold so we'll check things out 👌👌

    Hey Matt.
    What turbo inlet would you recommend for these legacy's.
    I have a buddy that just picked up a new turbo for his 09 spec b.

    • @MatlasDI
      @MatlasDI  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I had to pick, I'd go with the cobb for silicone, or killer b for a hard inlet. I've had a few different ones and perrin having a plastic insert is annoying and it will easily deform if overtightened in the slightest whereas the cobb is metal, and the other popular hard inlet is agency power, which seemed to work pretty well but their supplied couplers are a little weird. Cobb silicone is probably the easiest to work with. 👌
