Guys for those who loved the EESB Voodo wide bass sound you can actually open the Tx audio to transmit in 4Khz, just by pressing both the Mode and Nb button at the same time then turn it on and you will have the 4Khz Tx transmit audio. Then just go to radio settings and change the parametric to 4Khz.
I have one for a few weeks now. The external monitor is a great feature and after installing the newest firmware update the image quality is superb! The DNR is impressively improved and the usb port now supports a mouse, even wireless. This is a very good transceiver! Thank you for an informative video.
Good radio, have mine a few weeks. I like the digital filters and the selection of IPO/ATT controls to set signals and noise. You covered a few things I haven’t used yet thanks!
He actually misinformed or did not known that the Vox/Mox button that is not the Monitor as he stated, the Monitor you find it by hitting the function button it opens the menu there is where you turn on or off or control Monitor volume. Mox is just for transmitting without activating the Vox.
Yes, always get the best if you can afford it and avoid buyers regret. $400 is better than deciding to upgrade later when the price may have gone up, the extra goodies are nice to have or may be the difference between the contact or not. Also the increased aesthetics will increase the pleasure of your operation.

Thank for the run through. BTW, the sounds at 5-10-15mhz etc are the atomic clock transmissions for auto-setting clocks to receive. It’s called WWV.

Logitech M310 mouse works very well on this rig. The 710 is the best value out there.
The 10 and 25 mhz frequencies are not beacons, they are the WWV time and frequency standard signals. Its also on 5 and 15 mhz.
Thank You so much for the overview! I am having a hard time deciding if the FTDX 10 is worth the extra 400. or not for a casual operator like myself.
