I was lucky enough to see a bricklink seller and store yesterday, and yes just parts everywhere. It was amazing to see. I wished I got pictures so I could tell the wife that I really don’t have that much 🤣

Awesome to see the process, thanks for sharing! You wouldn’t really know how much work is involved with so many different parts. I hope it will run smoothly 🤞 and maybe we will see Olly in discord again more often 😁

Very cool to see the process and confirmed that I'd rather recreate a set with missing parts from my inventory and sell it to the local used Lego store

It has its appeals. But my gosh is it a different kettle of fish organising parts to sell vs to build with

Great job, and yes it's a lot of work. I have a store with about 84,000 parts, so not huge. It looks like when you enter the room the door opens to the left, and there is wall space to your right. You should be able to wall mount some more of the small drawer units up and down that wall if you need them, as long as it leaves enough room to the side of them to get the drawers out from the units on the side wall.

That’s great to see. One thing I’ve learnt is that the work is never done with a store, there is always something more to do! Are you listing directly onto BrickLink or using a program like Brick Store? The latter is much more stable than BrickLink and has been a real game changer for me.

We were listing to bricklink directly, but I was just doing what Olly wanted, the brick store thing looks interesting!

I will be watching this closely! All my loose parts have been in storage since my last move. I need to sort them all out and get them listed on Bricklink.

What great way to build the desk, think of doing the same in my home. Could you provide a basic list of the materials you used. Love your channel. Thank you.

We used sheets of 18mm mfc (leftover from one of our jobs) some batons in the same colour, wall anchors to attach the Barton’s into the wall (plasterboard fixings for us) lots of 2 inch screws, two adils legs to support in the corners at the front and a bunch of 30mm screws to screw the worktop into the batons at the back and cover caps to cover the screw holes in the colour of the panel.

I never thought of opening a Bricklink store, but if I did, I would sell complete sets and not separate parts. Although I do have a lot of pieces from the Pick & Build wall.
Good luck to Ollie for trying.

We have a bunch of full sets. But those are not quite the point of Bricklink. Though they form a nice backbone for the store. Bricklink (and brickowl) are mostly for parts so people who build MOCs can get the things they need. Be ran it rather successfully for an while before he moved. It’s worthwhile as a hobby.

Fun, I'm working on my first moc (it's in the concept phase still) but plan on using bricklink when I'm ready.... once I can figure out how to essentially build the saturn v set but half the diameter and half the length.

Wow. That looks so hard. I would like to see all the mini figures though. I am not good at counting but sorting is so much fun. All the best and I hope you sell lots of eveything. I am going to look for some Harry Potter mini figures I have been looking for.

You need to get some stickers like those you recently acquired…only redesigned to say “Packed by Johanna” or “Packed by HighTeaToys” 😂 Make them exclusive and stick them on the orders! 😂

The 'reality' of a Bricklink store is not as glamorous as some TH-camrs make it out to be.

Yes i tottaly agree haveing a few of the same set s to part out. Is best way to get parts ..if buying the set s as cheep as you can get them...the sorter hard part is listing the part under the right colour listing..and. Numbering invatorey right. And making shaw the buyer get s. the right part s an right amount thay payed for..cas haveing to send them part not put in .some buyer s can get. Angrey .over it. Your lucky you got Olly doing the store. Cas anny. Big amounts of same parts plus set s or mini figs you not whant. You can put. Into his store 😊 face book sale page i put any extra lego i have an serie s mini figs an just keep them. In one big bag ..i have been colecting parts for 8 year s so got fair amount. My house mate is good with computer side of things. I have given him parts an mini figs to list ..
