No wonder ford got ideas for their Gt from this platform. You can see it a little in the Lola design! Man does that Lola engine purr!

The vast majority of those cars are powered by a small block Chevy, between 300 and 390 cubic inches, depending upon the bore/stroke combination. That's true of the original cars, and the modern version.
Eric Broadley influenced a lot of those cars, including the original Ford GT cars in the sixties.

I watch so many Nurburgring videos that it’s weird to see one on a track that seems to be utterly flat. Do race car drivers prefer a flat track or one with lots of elevation changes?

Putting a lot of wheel in that thing- soften the front sway bar.

      That would mess up stability.
This is no American trafficlight to trafficlight „racecar“ but a real *racecar* for the circuit, that requires drivers to have skill and some grease in their elbows!
      Amazing machines!

@@rolux4853 Well son, I've driven sports racing cars , formula cars and stock cars, and I can tell you that thing is pushing like crazy. It has nothing to do with drag racing and having to crank that much wheel into it would wear him out in no time. Skilled driving will not help you if your car is out of whack.
