I'm a Bama fan, but if Tennessee can destroy the NCAA, I will support them in every game but 1 for the rest of my life.

Thanks Buddy. That’s the most Non-Bama response I’ve ever heard from a Bama fan. Respect.

in case you are wondering why the lawsuit was filed in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and NOT in Virginia, keep in mind that Tennessee is geographically within the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals..... so is Michigan and Ohio...... need I say more?

The immediate harm will happen in recruiting as every coach in the land will be saying , can't go there, they are under ncaa investigation, so yeah, it's kinda obvious what the immediate harm is. I just hope UT wins and prospective kids see just what the University and state of Tennessee for that matter is prepared to do on their behalf.

Thank you! Of COURSE that’s the immediate harm. And everyone knows how lonnnnngggggg NCAA drags these things out.

It hasn't hurt Florida State in recruiting

FSU hasn't recruited nearly as well as they have used the transfer portal to PAY PLAYERS to come there, just like everyone else. Do you think those guys from bama just come there out of the goodness of the hearts? They got offered money before they signed to play for FSU or at the very least had some type of verbal guarantee which is exactly what the issue is at Tennessee right now, so buckle up because if UT doesn't beat the ncaa you can bet they will be coming back to Tallahassee.

How’s it going to hurt them? The whole narrative is being lost. They are going after the NIL collective. It’s deceiving because most think it’s Tennessee and their administration under investigation. It’s Spyre Sports who they are targeting. Who not only works with Tn but other schools also. If anything a recruit should see this University is standing up for their NIL rights and not folding to the NCAA.

The likelihood of harm is that you lose talented recruits, which could lead to a loss of revenue, from losses on the field, play offs, bowl games. This doesn't just include football. You're talking a ton of money.

The harm is in Recruiting because everyone will be saying you don't want to go to Tennessee the ncaa is going to bring down the hammer on them that the harm let's get this over quickly

The NCAA is being accused by the two States’ AGs of restriction of interstate commerce by horizontal price fixing and violates state laws . They are treading on the jurisdiction of the FTC. When Nil was codified it rendered NCAA rules invalid.

Btw, the Spyre Group is not a collective. The collective is a separate entity called Tennessee Volunteers. Spyre is a representative organization.

Nice info by Dan however I would disagree that the immediate attention to this being asked for by UT although stated doesn't seem to have the right timing...if you are in recruiting currently which Tennessee is, you do not need this as a side distraction. Other schools although I'm sure who will want to see the NCAA go down, will still use this in recruiting. Why would you wait until you are about to be smacked for a violation to pursue? I believe UT is slinging its big guns and obviously focused on the now.

The immediate harm done to Tennessee is the recruiting harm

Tennessee is not contesting wrong doing. They are saying any rules from the Association are invalid in their entirety.

The immediate danger to Tennessee is lost in recruiting. It’s lost in income for the university it’s lost in enrollment. There is an immediate loss to the university of Tennessee that needs to be addressed now not later. We need a judge to rule on this immediately to prevent the NCAA from doing further harm to the university today.
