Takanaka san is an absolute master, thank you so much for the breakdown Tomo! I'd love to see more of these. Maybe something from T-SQUARE? Thank you.
Yes!! So many great songs! Thank you so much! Thanks for sharing.
Can't wait Fujita-san gets his own "surftable" e-guitar
ooh yes I love t-square
Masayoshi Takanaka truly has beautiful and smooth music to behold! Great analysis as always Tomo
Thank you very much! So good!
My pleasure!@@TomoFujitaMusic
Takanaka before the 80's tracks are amazing. Everything's good
Yes! Thank you!
Hello Mr. Fujita, my name is James Taylor (Hendrix Tribute on my channel) and I have been a student of yours and others of course for many years now. You are a special gift for aspiring guitarists of every age. I have learned a whole lot about music from your wisdom and wish to express my earnest and sincere gratitude and thanks from my heart and soul. Namaste
So happy to hear that! Thank you for sharing! Thank you!
I am perplexed by how much wisdom you share in such a gentle and humble demeanor in a simple unedited raw music lesson video. Everytime I watch any of your videos I cant help myself from seeing life in a more weightless and joyful way.
I've just managed to discover you but already I feel like your biggest fan both as a musician and as a person. Your words and playing moved me profoundly.
Hopefully this message reached you and let you know how important you became to a stranger who you've never met from a completely different place and time.
I sincerely hope life gifts you with even more success and love than it already has for your kindness and hardwork!
Muito obrigado e muito amor vindo do Brasil! / Many thanks and much love from Brasil! (in portuguese)
Thank you so much! So glad to hear that!
Basically I just want to teach as if I am teaching someone in person so no edit!
I started hearing Tanaka in the beginning of this year. Then, a few months later I found TomoFujitamusic and started following his videos ever since. One wish I always had, was to get videos where we hear him talking about Tanaka´s sound and playing. But I never thought, that it would actually happen without even mentionig it outloud. Maybe Tanaka was not my incredibly lucky discovery, which is both sad and great!.
Thank you so much!
I love Takanaka songs, most of the time so cheerful and fun to listen to 😄
So happy to hear that! Thank you so much!
Please please please cover 'an insatiable high' by Takanaka, such a beautiful song !

Awesome! Thank you so much!
I feel like Sweet Agnes would be cool to watch a "Let's Listen Together" about
Thank you for sharing!
Awesome! Takanaka is endlessly cool and a genius. I've been listening to his music for few years now, and would be really cool to read/hear him speak about his music, tone, influences etc. Does anyone know any recorded interviews? Hard to find without the language skills. Maybe Tomo could try to interview him? That would be super ;)
Yes! Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing!
There is an interview article in a book published in Japan around the time Rainbow Goblin was released.
In summary about songwriting:
"I make it while playing chords and singing with my mouth. First, play the melody and record the solo part appropriately, keep the good parts, and change it to the final form. Not aware of scale. I hope you enjoy listening to it. ”
He said.
from Japan.
@@moonrose5944 My, my. that's why his mouth is opened when he plays live! Amazing. Thanks for this info dude.
Thank you so much for sharing and caring so much for us Tomo, I like the compressor that your were using, I use them in front of distortion some times to smooth things out a bit, anyway the song you were playing, "Bobby and Me?", I believe that was the title, reminded me a little of You'll Never Find, by Lou Rawls, the intro, like your song has that real happy feeling, which I just love! Happy and dancing type of groove with out having to get to pretentious. Thanks again so much for sharing,
You’re very welcome. Thanks for sharing. Thank you so much!
great video tomo thank you! love takanaka :)
Thank you!
Thank you Tomo!
Thank you!
Masoyoshi and Tomo, doesn't get much better
Thank you so much!
I just love this series; sounds so good, I love the song, and I always enjoy listening to Tomo's melody; so smooth and beautiful.
So happy to hear that! Thank you so much!

Esp!!!! What a great song I might be little late on watching this video but when i was listening to all of me i was obsessed with the sound of takanaka san ans especially this song, the more I listened to this more I started falling in love with it but sad part was i could never find a tutorial or cover of the song or proper tabs to learn the song but today algorithm not only gave me its tutorial but its whole breakdown, this means a lot to me fujita san please do more of takanaka in future and thank you very much for this video.
Yes! Thank you so much! So happy to hear that! You're very welcome! Once you have basic theory, ear training, triads ... then no need tabs!
Thank you so much, i just started to play guitar and couldnt find Takanaka setup
You’re very welcome!
I’m here!
Thank you!!
thank you for your video :)
My pleasure! Thank you!
I love takanaka!!!

Hey Mr Fujita!!!!
Say Hello to Brazil!!
You have a lot fans here!!!
We love you!!!🔰🇯🇵
Thank you Mr.Fujita.
Good old “Takanaka” sound.
(Ps: I like “Sexy dance”.)
You’re very welcome! Thank you for sharing.
It would be amazing to have a similar comentary/lesson from you on "The Sunset Valley" from the album The Rainbow Goblins. There is, in my opinion, a most wonderful accoustic guitar solo under some interesting harmonies. I would love to know your thoughts on that.
Thank you so much! Thank you for sharing!
Would you consider making a video on SWEET AGNES by Masayoshi Takanaka?
Thank you for sharing! Lovely!
Amazing Tomo! As per usual. Would be great some casiopea or T-square stuff, maybe Travelers? Thank you so much Tomo san❤
Thank you so much! Thanks for sharing.
Your analysis is a little over my head since I'm pretty new to guitar but I'd love to hear you break down Alone! It's my fav Takanaka song and I've been trying to learn it for months
That case, simple you need to learn fretboard theory triads & 7th chord. Thank you so much!
you should listen Sexy Dance from the same album, I really love that song, its a Masterpiece
Thank you for sharing!
@@TomoFujitaMusic I love what u do, I see your videos while Im having Dinner 😄
Hello Mr. Fujita. Great video! Could you please analyze Mateus Asato playing? And What Would you say to a student of yours who wants to play in a similar style?
Thank You so much for you hard work and teaching.
Thank you for sharing! All about triads! Hard to do his style... then I have to do all triads first! Yes. That's why I teach foundation first. You're very welcome!
you kindly share how music should be experienced as a journey rather than a destination, and sometimes a really really cold Coke is enjoyed along the adventurous path - appreciate your positive thoughts and motivations. cheers
Thank you so much!

Is that Sherwood green? If so that is my favorite guitar color.
No. It’s Lake P Blue… tuned to green

All I could do was stare at your jc120 and deeply regret selling mine 3 years ago.
Great amp! you can buy it now!
I've been watching your videos for awhile now. I've always pursued music as a hobby because I've told myself that it's not practical to pursue it professionally. I've been forcing myself to fit a mold working a 9-5. Doing everything right for the company and then getting laid off. I'm tired of it. Now I'm without a job looking to change my career. With 18 years of guitar under my belt, I might not be where I need to be as a musical professional, but I'm feeling confident that I can make a career out of this. I'd really like to dive in head first and start with giving private lessons while I pursue an education in music. What kind of advice do you have for an aspiring teacher and student?
Thank you for sharing! You could have a professional or more guitar skills & just enjoy that part! Anything is possible when you determined to do it! Do all your foundation first! Please join my Guitar Wisdom.
This is great. I reckon another good song would be Good King Bad by George Benson.
Thank you so much!

How do I advance from just hearing the lead notes of chords into hearing chords? During that segment of the song I’ve always hummed that “layer” when listening to E.S.P, but I’ve never recognized that it is chords, I thought it was just a single note floating in the background behind the melody. Maybe it just comes through time and practice and I need to not expect so much out of myself?
No magic! Simple learning basic theory & ear training so you can recognize the pitches and harmony! Keep learning super simple songs and avoid any visual aids. Thank you so much!
Simply you need to prepare what you needed
@@TomoFujitaMusic I’ve decided I’m going to bite the bullet and subscribe to your lessons, thank you!
You can learn so much! You will not waste your time anymore! @@slugoo6474
Sensei, what do you need a lefty guitar for?
No reasons! Fun!
😉👍
Thank you!
Hi is this compressor analog or all digital ?
Great question!
how do you use a compressor? alway on? or when to use it?
I don't use a compressor. You can use it anyway you would like!

Yes! 素晴らしい!
Tomo, did you meet Takanaka and played with him?
Not yet!
@@TomoFujitaMusic That would awesome Tomo. Take care and many thnx for your inspiration.
Looking forward to it (someday!) You're very welcome! Thank you!
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Do you ever perform with him as guess??
No. I never met him in person (yet!)
@@TomoFujitaMusic oh. too bsd. But you already performed with John Mayer and Ichika Nito (I think)...a feat. with Tanaka would be soon possible. Thanks for your response. Ki wo tsukete
Looking forward to it! @@yasseralhablags
Hello and thank you Tomo! I love this series and I've had an idea for a great song we could all listen to together. How about Joe Pass' Django? th-cam.com/video/rLWzIsT4-o0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=op5YCuGYv-7BoFEf
I hear a lot of Joe's melodic and harmonic sense in your playing when you start to improvise over things and are playing from your heart. Thanks again - I really enjoy your videos.
PS: I've heard that Jimmy Page used stacked 1176 compressors (rack version) for some distortion. Have you ever tried this?
Do you like the meat puppets?
Thank you for sharing!
@@TomoFujitaMusic you should listen to the album Up On the Sun :)
Sound like George Benson style
