Live in Evansville and wanted to do late 60's early 70's L&N. I found very little in N scale, but in doing my research I have been amazec by all the RR's that ran thru here. I remember many from childhood in the 60's but had forgotten so many as well
My great grandfather worked for the L&N on their track gang. He was a foreman, at a very young age, they called him the "boy foreman". Monteagle was where they lived, while he worked and retired from the L&N.
Putting the helpers between the head end power and the train, now that's an unusual placement. Head end helpers are usually put on in front of the trains assigned power.
Wow!!!! I have got to know what kind of lights/LEDs you're using on your locomotives, Please. That first F unit has me blown away, and I sure would love to learn more about it! Thanks.
Thanks for watching. Two local clubs both concentrating on Pacific Northwest Railroads; BN, GN, NP etc. Not really interested in joining a club. Too much politics. I do have a several of friends who are starting to help out. One is building company houses, one is building a coal tipple and one is building a model of the company store in Palmer, TN. The Palmer/Coalmont scene is across the isle from Monteagle (the summit). My wife and I passed through Henderson last year; nice town.
