Another good thing about the TS is that you can get a more mid-heavy distortion from your amps by using only the tone and level knobs. Boosting the mids and cutting the bass before the signal hits your amps and adjusting the gain on your amp makes it so you can get biting creamy mid distorion with more clean and less muddy bass since those frequencies don't go into distortion as much. To be fair though the early 90s MIJ Jackson Pro were basically equivalent to the USA made one both spec and quality wise, so the top end imports model were cut and only the entry level/mid ranged models were kept and integrated to keep the USA model as the top dog. The later MIJ stuffs were good with crap hardware because they were priced for the midrange, and the line was killed because they couldn't compete in price with ESP/Schecter Korean made stuffs with better stock hardware. I have an orange rocker 15 ... it’s my favorite thing in the world. Takes pedals so well, and the clean channel is just buttery and creamy. I’ll never need to buy another amp again for the rest of my life lol I like it that much
just would like to make the point that I think Dean changed the way they make guitars around 2014 on all the expensive models, so post 2014 expensive deans are great, i have one and its the best playing guitar I own, and can get lower action than I've seen on pretty much any other guitar. and around 2018ish they really stepped up their cheaper guitar game. but their guitars are kinda hit and miss i wont lie. had a 300 dollar guitar from dean (lp style) that I to this day kick myself for selling, and ive had a 300 dollar V that was uninspiring. also a custom 550 that has to be the best guitar ive ever played.
I've broken two strings in my life. Both were Ernie Ball. I used Ernie Balls for the first 3-4 years of my life and only once after that. I have never broken a D'addario string, and I've used them for the last 7 years. NYXL are great, still yet to try the XT set.
My TS9 has been drop kicked, ran over, and stepped on for years and it still sounds better than anything else. And I got it for $60. I feel like 80% of this list was spot on with my unpopular opinions of gear lmao keep rockin judy
Hi, guitar tech, to be fair, the big problem with ibanez FR-style bridges, is that people try to lower or rise it without removing tension, that will damage the blades, and the V-groove of the post where it sits, creating "steps" where the bridge will jam into, and not go back in tune after a dive. This happens mostly on low to mid end ibanez because the bridges used in those have softer metal. Is worth swaping it out with a brand new original replacement, and take care of it by always removing tension before any adjustment of the height, or upgrade to a different tremolo system, like a Gotoh. Bottom line, ibanez bridges are ass, but sometimes the user is too.
I love PRS, but I can completely understand why someone wouldn’t want one. I personally love how they feel to play, but I will admit the lower-end ones have their quirks.
I just copped the line 6 Helix floor model. Incredibly stoked. Line 6 might not be S tier. But the helix is phenomenal. I’ve also never really liked Ernie ball strings either. They always seem to dull out quickly
As a fanboy I kinda agree. I work at a GC so I play a lot of PRSs and they're kinda hit or miss. The ones that hit REALLY hit and the ones that dont get returned 4 times by 4 different people over the course of a year.

Very solid! I thought you’d have Fender guitars & amps in S tier, but I’d have them in A tier myself as well lol
this dude spittin facts. orange is GOD TIER, pricey tho
I have an orange rocker 15 ... it’s my favorite thing in the world. Takes pedals so well, and the clean channel is just buttery and creamy. I’ll never need to buy another amp again for the rest of my life lol I like it that much
I mean he is talking about the crush (transistor amp) which is actually priced pretty reasonably (awesome amp which really sounds like tubes)
Pewdiepie from an alternate universe.
When you asked about what do i think about when you see ESP's logo you took the words right out of my mouth
I agree with the tier list, good job Uncle Judy
are twooba and this guy related?
I almost spit out my drink at the radiator bit😂😂
The line 6 variax 700 is the best guitar I’ve ever played and I will stand by that. It’s unreal when it’s paired with the helix.
As someone who goes to Music Bliss Malaysia almost every week, i felt a lil bit happy to see its name in this video hehehehe
Now my gear choices were validated by some guy on youtube. Thank you sir.
A tier was definitely right for ESP, you've offended me Judy but I still love you
Although the Ibanez does have a bad bridge, I would still rank it in the A tier because once you get it set up right, it’s perfect.
just would like to make the point that I think Dean changed the way they make guitars around 2014 on all the expensive models, so post 2014 expensive deans are great, i have one and its the best playing guitar I own, and can get lower action than I've seen on pretty much any other guitar. and around 2018ish they really stepped up their cheaper guitar game. but their guitars are kinda hit and miss i wont lie. had a 300 dollar guitar from dean (lp style) that I to this day kick myself for selling, and ive had a 300 dollar V that was uninspiring. also a custom 550 that has to be the best guitar ive ever played.
Hi, guitar tech,
to be fair, the big problem with ibanez FR-style bridges, is that people try to lower or rise it without removing tension, that will damage the blades, and the V-groove of the post where it sits, creating "steps" where the bridge will jam into, and not go back in tune after a dive.
Finally 20k nephews and nieces, keep it up!
as a somewhat beginner guitarist, I feel like I haven't ever actually seen anyone you a marshal amp
I love PRS, but I can completely understand why someone wouldn’t want one. I personally love how they feel to play, but I will admit the lower-end ones have their quirks.
Dunno for toy guitars, but real 8 string chads use D'addario NYXL
the ending is so inspirational 🥺🥺🥺
Hey good video!! I like mesa boogie, how do you like it? Which tier?
I just copped the line 6 Helix floor model. Incredibly stoked. Line 6 might not be S tier. But the helix is phenomenal.
I’ve also never really liked Ernie ball strings either. They always seem to dull out quickly
8:15 agreed but there is a huge learning curve to those amplifiers, specifically a JMP or a plexi, even later models like an 800-900
That Tyler Larson callout! Mans has like 5 of the same model of PRS
ever tried elixir strings?
Mann I used to be an ernie ball guy, but after I tried elixir I never go back!
just picked up one of the Orange micro amps, it's my first Orange, and needless to say, I'm in love with it Orange just an amazing brand!!
As a fanboy I kinda agree. I work at a GC so I play a lot of PRSs and they're kinda hit or miss. The ones that hit REALLY hit and the ones that dont get returned 4 times by 4 different people over the course of a year.
