Oral-B Stages Power Kids Electric Toothbrush Review

  • Getting kids to brush their teeth for longer can be a real challenge and the Oral-B Stages Power has many of the tricks necessary to achieve just this and I think it is fair to say that even the most troublesome toothbrusher will do better with this in hand.
    The interactive nature and colourful designs with favourite TV and film characters makes brushing more fun and interesting.
    Really good value this brush is, you won’t feel like you are wasting a whole load of money.
    The battery life could be better, there could too be a battery status icon, but these are small niggles in the scheme of things.

    I am 21 but I use this brush because it has a smaller head than the adult ones. I have found that the adult brush heads feel uncomfortable on my gums so this one works wonders!

    Thanks for the videos you are doing! Would you recommend to brush 5 year old kid teeth with oral-b genius x 10000 (I'm considering to buy 1 for whole family) or this stages power kids model is better for kid's teeth?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Alex. At 5 years old, it is a bit on the borderline. Ideally, this would be better as a slightly smaller head and a little less powerful.
      The Genius X would be a bit powerful on the standard mode. However, you may wish to get the Genius X and select the sensitive mode with a sensitive brush head. Try it with your child and monitor their reaction and sensitivity to the power and size.

    Oral b battery AA version or charging version which better and have a fast rotation?

    • @ElectricTeeth

      I don't know the exact number of movements on the AA battery version. I *think* it is comparable to this model that has 7,600 movements.

    Jon, Would you mind telling me what you think of the Emmi pet ultrasonic toothbrush. I have been using it every day for a week on my toy poodle who has mild tartar on the front and back of some teeth (vet said professional cleaning not required at the moment) and I have seen no difference whatsoever? Could you please advise on the best way to clean my dogs teeth and recommend a toothbrush and paste? I would really appreciate your advice as I really want to look after his teeth the best way I can. Thank you.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Samantha. I can't comment on this really. I have not used this product. And whilst I am a dog owner myself I have little knowledge on tooth care for dogs. The fundamental principles are the same though. Tartar cannot be removed with toothbrushing/toothpaste alone. This is hardened plaque which can only be removed by specialist tools, which in this case the vet would have. It is the same for humans.
      With regular brushing you can help reduce further build-up and potentially delay the need for a professional clean.

      There is basically no difference in the power/number of brush head movements between this and the adult Vitality model Katerina.

      Indeed for some it is. Oral-B are always louder than Sonicare or Colgate. This video gives an insight: th-cam.com/video/NzTN41Vh6NY/w-d-xo.html

    We just bought three of these and they do not do anything special after two minutes. We get a slight vibration pause every 30 seconds but I think you’re saying something more than that should happen after the full two minutes right?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  ปีที่แล้ว

      At the 2 minute mark, there is pause in the vibration and brushing motion like there is at 30 seconds. But it is slightly different at the 2 minute mark.

    Is the stand wireless

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically, yes. There is no physical connection between the toothbrush and the charging stand. The charger doesn't lock into the toothbrush for example. But, for it to work, the brush has to sit on the prong on the charging stand. This fits into a recess in the base of the brush. There is then a power cable from the stand to the power outlet.
