- Was Natalia Grace really a child when she was adopted by an American couple, or was she a woman posing as a little girl? Michael and Kristine Barnett adopted Natalia in Florida in 2010. They say they were told she was from Ukraine and had a rare form of dwarfism. Michael Barnett said the couple believed the girl was 6. She was actually a child when all of this happened ls. Search up articles about it she is 19 now since she was born in 2003. Biological mother and dental records confirm this. The adoptive mother was the crazed one.

For everybody, she was confirmed to be a child here, she is now 22. Meaning she was 9 while living with them, that's awful. They accused a CHILD of being an adult, and the judge made a little girl fend for herself because people thought she was 22.

They had legal proof that she was an adult.
I believe in Indiana, the statute for neglect of a dependent is not limited to children but any dependent who needs care due to mental or physical disability. So regardless of whether she is an adult or child they could still be charged for neglect due to her medical conditions. (Not saying I agree or disagree with this as it pertains to this particular situation, it’s just what I found from researching this case)

In above video of inside edition there was comment of someone they told that Natalia's mother was bullied by the doctor to give her up for adoption as she can only live good life in America and when she her child getting this treatment in America she was sad.I forgot whole comment but anyway and This Bregedts(sorry forgot this familiy's name) couple left her there when she was actually a child and the bredgt adoptive mother applied for Natalie as adult with body disabilities.Natalie was just sitting outside after they left her (there was grocery store close by but still) and that's when a pastor's wife saw and asked Then Natalie told she was alone there and lady didn't believe so Natalie showed her inside but no one was there so lady took Natalie home as she was same age as her children and took care of her.The pastor couple applied for adoption but couldn't get as Bredgets adoptive mother made Natalie an adult with body disabilities.

They should update this piece. DNA and original birth certificate for the child has proven her age at time of adoption was accurate. The poor child was requiring expensive surgery for her legs and too much trouble for the adoptive parents who decided to abandon her at age 16 in a house, after they set her up as a disabled adult so she’d get disability payments to cover her rent and food. When they got busted after she’d been on her own for a year, then all these claims of murder attempts were used as an excuse.
Yeah, obviously the story by the couple does not add up.
But how can a six year old live on her own for a year?

In an interview done with Dr. Phil in 2019, she states that she is 16, and he makes a comment about how it’s entirely possible that she did not know her actual age, as she probably was not aware, given her status in long term foster care.. maybe she wasn’t six when adopted by that family, but she may have been 8-12.. it’s entirely possible for some girls to go through puberty at a much earlier age, though it’s not as common.

It reminds me of a story from year's back, a couple's son went missing when he was like 10 , then about 5 year's later some guy who looked young and looked like the missing child claimed to be there son...they believed him until they realized he could not answer questions like did he have cousin's.

She is 16 now. But at the time she wasn’t lying. All yall have to do is make reach and you’ll find everything you need. She did in fact made other test that proved it. in September 11 2010 she was tested by an expert at the Peyton Manning children’s hospital and the results reviled she was approximately 8years and 2 years after that they’ve done a other skeletal test and the results came up that she was around 11years old. It’s been 7years since she lives with an new Indiana couple that have multiple children and they’ve claim that she has never shown any type of hate. In my opinion, I found it kind a weird that when she was with Michael and Kristine (2years? ) she was supposedly acting supper crazy and abusive but now that she’s living with a other family she’s just like every teenager. So for my personal conclusion those parents where : (a) the real abuser that got a dwarf kid and got sick of it so had done everything they could to get rid of her without making themselves look bad by trowing all the attention on a story who would be like an horrors story for any parents and victimizes themselves or (b) they really think that she was 22 but lied about the sociopath thing that doesn’t make any sense

@Ibraheem Rizvi They say you should contact a doctor before age 8 and after 18-20. They said she has signs of puberty and a monthly cycle. I'm guessing signs of puberty means pubic hair so that is no normal for 6 years of age.

i live in canada but have family members that live in lafayette indiana a couple doors down from where the family left her and let me tell you it was crazy for about 4 months and I would receive pictures of many news stations surrounding that house

She’s either 16/17 or 30 now so it’d be hard to really say, assuming that video was recently made considering they were both on good terms prior to this court case coming back up, but she has looked like a fairly grown woman the whole time
