If an adult lies about their age and claims to be a child - you call a lawyer and child protective services. If a child or adult tries to harm you again you call child protective services. Whether they're disabled or abled you call child protective services... You do NOT set them up with a place and bounce and assume there's no responsibility 😳

just by looking at her face you can see how much she's grown, her features are completely different, the people that adopted her never wanted to have a daughter, they wanted money and fame, look at their history. The incredible thing about this story is that she found herself a home and for six years (date of this video) she's been integrated into this family. I would love to see an update of this.

Had you actually sat through the entire series like the rest of us who are smarter than to comment on TH-cam before actually watching the show…you’d know that she gets a hefty Social Security check every month which this new family has asked her to *sign over to them* and they have chosen not to formally adopt her but rather just become her legal financial guardians. They've proven she was born in 2003. Regardless of anything she's said or done and whether you like her or not, and no matter what size you think her teeth are, she was born in 2003. The investigators went to the Ukraine and collected DNA and pulled her birth certificate. People's reaction is like witch hunt. So bizarre. I feel so sorry for her. Shame on the Barnetts. Such shameful behavior on so many levels.

One day, while wrestling with the boy who was about her age, she landed on his arm the wrong way, almost breaking it. The adoptive mother was sick of the rowdiness and gave her up to be a ward of the state, being put in foster homes to temporarily babysit her and being available for permanent adoption.
Update, 3 years later we know the mom lied about everything and they located and dna tested and confirmed her birthmother and found her original birth certificate and she is in fact 16 in this video. Her adoptive parents beat and abused her and abandoned her at 7 years old and got away with it, it's totally fucked up.

First Last ThAt is extremely, extremely rare for even precocious puberty. But for somebody with dwarfism to experience that is next to unheard of. It affects their development and usually stunts their sexual development as well.
Our Darling Angel It’s extremely rare and you don’t have to go back to the 30’s for extreme cases however....dwarfism. It’s nearly unheard of as it also hinders sexual maturation. It affects your hormonal development and slows down to much that the chances are slim to none.

with how she’s aged since, i believe her, if you’ve seen interviews of the adoptive father giving his side of the story he seems so incredibly off. lying or not you shouldn’t leave someone whose dependent on others alone in an apartment, especially if said person can’t even reach the counters. if they had that big of an issue with her they could’ve put her in foster care/ adoption or therapy.

I watched the entire episode and I believe the child. The adoptive father was a great actor....even the first son admitted that the mother terrorized the child, even had him pee on her bed. How sick is that. Those parents are evil and should be in jail. Even if she was 50 years old, she does not have the physical ability to be on her own in a second floor apartment. The child was diagnosed as a psychopath independent of the Barnetts. She bragged to neighbors about wanting to kill her family. She called 911 to report that she wanted to kill a neighbor family. Kristine wasn’t there when Natalia made that call. The Barnetts took Natalia to multiple doctors and mental health facilities. Natalia would urinate on her littlest brother and smear feces on him. I think the Barnetts really didn’t know how to handle this disgusting behavior. Did you get the idea that Jacob lived in that dark ugly basement. He doesn’t. The documentary wanted us to believe that Jacob had regressed to the point where he lived in that basement. Jacob has a PhD and his own apartment and a job. Don’t trust everything about that documentary.

But the language that she was using is that of an adult. And she was old enough to know that if they found out that she had a period, that would reveal that she’s older that’s what is lead to believe. If a child was bleeding, they would run and tell their parents immediately so the fact that she hid her period for 3 months is telling. A child wouldn’t know how to conceal a secret like that. Her birth certificate may have said she was born in 2003, but she knew she wasn’t! And she was trying to molest children when she moved into her first apartment. Not to mention, she was trying to give the staff at the mental institution sexual favors and that’s the reason why she got kicked out.

I’m not saying I believe or disbelieve anything about this whole thing but I just want to say that people with some forms of dwarfism or even people just with different conditions may sound older or younger due to their condition. If you lookup Primordial Dwarfism, people with this condition have highpitched younger voices. So it all depends on that side of things.

First of all Phil lost his license 20 years ago so he's not a doctor, second of all, how can you possibly believe that she had 30 foster parents at the age of 6 and we only know of 3.

@@teresahowick5197 That's just how the legal system works. Any case involving a minor, their names and pictures of them can't be made public if it's in relation to an investigation. It'd be different if the child is currently an adult and told whoever he/she chose with their own discretion, but I'm pretty sure Dr. Phil's producers don't want a potential lawsuit.
The family was notified by an adoption agency in FA because the family with dwarfism that originally wanted her backed out of the adoption. The whole story is fishy and just keeps getting stranger and stranger....
They didn't travel abroad to adopt her. She came to the US when she was small and was bounced around in the system and the Barnett's adopted her without ever even seeing her. When I first heard this story about a month ago, I believed the parents. Not now. For one, there's a picture of her, when they claimed she was 20 and she said she was 8 and she was missing her front teeth. It's perfectly common for an 8 year old. For a 20 year old... Not so much. The Barnett's have adopted children who are geniuses. They use them almost like prizes to show off and push them really hard in academia. If Natalia wasn't up to snuff by their standards, that's an excuse to abandon her. Plus, they say she's an evil dwarf trying to kill them AND she's an adult scam artist posing as a child? Sounds a little far fetched. I mean, friggin pick one
But she grew. Are you going to ignore that the dwarf girl they adopted have changed a lot from the early pics of her (like everybody who grows from a baby to an adult). She is not a grown adult in any picture. Doctors tested her also. Not to mention, if she was a fully grown adult when they adopted her, she wouldn't have grown so much. You do realize that people get money for adopting? Especially when you adopt a special needs child. Did the family continue taking this money even though she lived on her own? I'd like to know. Sadly, there has been cases where someone adopts a child just to get money from that state.

The first thing that made me doubt the parents was the allegation that Natalia was trying to push Kristine to the electric fence. Like really? Her biological mom just proved she’s 19 now, 3 years later. Whaddya know. Her mom was born in 1979 and the judge ruled she was born in 1989, so she would have been 10 while pregnant with her second daughter, and pictures show that’s not the case.
Incredible what people are posting here, as they most clearly did not pay attention when they watched this documentary. The Bennett’s did not adopt several children. They had three biological children and then adopted her. Watching Mr. Bennett talk about what supposedly happened and about her, that man is mentally ill, and no one that behaves and talks the way he and his wife did, should be allowed to adopt any children - much less children with physical and mental disabilities. What has happened to her is an incredible mis-treatment of justice. That judge that allowed her to be aged, hopefully will have a special place in hell waiting for him when his time comes to depart this world. Unbelievable what people are writing; unbelievable! No wonder our world is in the messed up state it is today. I hope Natalia did find good people that cared about her, and hopefully she is continuing having a good life. You can see she must have been a child because of how much her face has matured between the photos taken of her by her adoptive parents and this interview. I think there’s probably a chance she did have violent tendencies that needed to be looked into and she probably needed a lot of therapy though.
She was disabled and defenseless and brought into the home of two adults who showed her nothing but contempt. Two adults who had a history of violence according to police reports. She slept with knives under her bed bc she was so scared of her adoptive parents. The girl can barely walk and the "dad" is constantly towering over her and interrogating her. She was abused by them, the proof is there. They made her sleep in the street too. If the girl was a but messed up its bc of the toxic environment they created and the fact she was never shown love. She is now doing well with new parents who actually care for her.
It's very obvious that the girl was just a child when being adopted and is at the correct age. Prove? There's a photo of her losing a tooth when being adopted. Another prove? Look how different she is right now compared to her in the photos. Only puberty can cause drastic changes. If she were already an adult when being adopted, she wouldn't look any different than how she is right now.

@Ollympian There's literally so many things against the Barnetts already but people still believe every word they say, it's baffling. - They told a story with 0 proof or evidence any of it happened, and 90% of the internet believed them without a doubt. - They say she has been in 30+ families all of which found her troublesome and also tried to kill them, but none came out except for families AGAINST the Barnetts claiming Natalia indeed was a child, also showing pictures of her baby tooth and records of her birth certificate before the Barnetts changed her legal age. - The Barnetts said they were surprised when Natalia ran into the ocean when they thought she wasn't able to, when they literally also stated "she ran into the adoption room". They really aren't consistent with their claims. - They literally changed her legal birthday in court turning her into an adult so they can avoid consequences of child neglect, to which they failed in the end because of smart prosecutors that were able to pinpoint their lies and misconceptions. The fact that people are turning a blind eye on this, is dumb. - They claimed they got her legal age changed to an adult so she can get therapy. This is so wrong in so many ways and a poor excuse because even if you are a minor you can still get therapy as long as you have the guidance and permission of your guardians/parents. - The mother claimed Natalia pushed her into an electric fence 💀 that alone is fishy and makes 0 zero sense because how can a damn dwarf push a fat heavy person that's twice their height. - Barnetts claim Natalia's vocabulary was odd for her age, when their 12 year old son is literally talking about advance physics, calculus and published an academic research paper. - Prosecutors tracked Natalia's mother from Ukraine, who confirmed she was indeed a child when the Barnetts adopted/abandoned her. Prosecutors tracked down Natalia's birth mother, Anna Gava, in Ukraine, which was confirmed through a DNA test, Starbuck said during Wednesday's hearing. Gava and Ukrainian records indicated Gava gave birth to a girl with severe dwarfism on Sept. 4, 2003, and Gava, who already was a single mother, put Natalia up for adoption on Sept. 5, 2003, Starbuck said in court - Anna Gava (Natalia's birth mother) is currently 41 years old. When I first heard this story about a month ago, I believed the parents. Not now. For one, there's a picture of her, when they claimed she was 20 and she said she was 8 and she was missing her front teeth. It's perfectly common for an 8 year old. For a 20 year old... Not so much.
The Barnett's have adopted children who are geniuses. They use them almost like prizes to show off and push them really hard in academia. She is not a grown adult in any picture. Doctors tested her also. Not to mention, if she was a fully grown adult when they adopted her, she wouldn't have grown so much. You do realize that people get money for adopting? Especially when you adopt a special needs child. Did the family continue taking this money even though she lived on her own? I'd like to know. Sadly, there has been cases where someone adopts a child just to get money from that state.

The first thing that made me doubt the parents was the allegation that Natalia was trying to push Kristine to the electric fence. Like really? Incredible what people are posting here, as they most clearly did not pay attention when they watched this documentary. The Bennett’s did not adopt several children. They had three biological children and then adopted her.

I think there’s probably a chance she did have violent tendencies that needed to be looked into and she probably needed a lot of therapy though.
She was disabled and defenseless and brought into the home of two adults who showed her nothing but contempt. Two adults who had a history of violence according to police reports. She slept with knives under her bed bc she was so scared of her adoptive parents. The girl can barely walk and the "dad" is constantly towering over her and interrogating her. She was abused by them, the proof is there. They made her sleep in the street too. If the girl was a but messed up its bc of the toxic environment they created and the fact she was never shown love. She is now doing well with new parents who actually care for her.

It's very obvious that the girl was just a child when being adopted and is at the correct age. Prove? There's a photo of her losing a tooth when being adopted. Another prove? Look how different she is right now compared to her in the photos. Only puberty can cause drastic changes. If she were already an adult when being adopted, she wouldn't look any different than how she is right now.

- They told a story with 0 proof or evidence any of it happened, and 90% of the internet believed them without a doubt.
- They say she has been in 30+ families all of which found her troublesome and also tried to kill them, but none came out except for families AGAINST the Barnetts claiming Natalia indeed was a child, also showing pictures of her baby tooth and records of her birth certificate before the Barnetts changed her legal age.
- The Barnetts said they were surprised when Natalia ran into the ocean when they thought she wasn't able to, when they literally also stated "she ran into the adoption room". They really aren't consistent with their claims.
- They literally changed her legal birthday in court turning her into an adult so they can avoid consequences of child neglect, to which they failed in the end because of smart prosecutors that were able to pinpoint their lies and misconceptions. The fact that people are turning a blind eye on this, is dumb.
- They claimed they got her legal age changed to an adult so she can get therapy. This is so wrong in so many ways and a poor excuse because even if you are a minor you can still get therapy as long as you have the guidance and permission of your guardians/parents.
- The mother claimed Natalia pushed her into an electric fence 💀 that alone is fishy and makes 0 zero sense because how can a damn dwarf push a fat heavy person that's twice their height.
- Barnetts claim Natalia's vocabulary was odd for her age, when their 12 year old son is literally talking about advance physics, calculus and published an academic research paper.
