- This video shows a no name brand Wireless-N WiFi repeater WiFi Range Extender setup and review. Now keep in mind this WiFi repeater/WiFi Extender has no brand name associated with it, hence, no name brand wifi repeater. I purchased this off of eBay for less then $15.00 bucks. Most likely made over in China or Taiwan. You can watch how I did the WiFi repeater setup and how to do the WiFi Extender installation into the house electric wall outlet.
Learn how to setup a WiFi extender in your house to get more WiFi signal strength and range out of your primary WiFi router. It does not take long to see how to setup Wireless-n WiFi repeater plus get a wireless amplifier extender (wifi repeater) to extend existing WiFi signal beyond your wireless router another 25 feet or more.
I take you through the whole process of opening up the packaging, installing it into a wall outlet and going though the setup process within Windows 10 and making a Netgear WiFi router connection on my home LAN.
This is a plain and simple wireless n repeater installation guide video tutorial for an easy extender/repeater setup. And this just could be the best wifi repeater or wifi extender for your money presently being sold today.
BTW: When it comes to WiFi repeater and/or WiFi extender just follow this rule of thumb: Extender location is the primary key to getting the best signal quality and most distance out of any extender. You might experience interference problems, for example: thick walls or floors, other electronic equipment or extender might be to far away from router...etc. Test until you find the best sweet spot somewhere mid way between your Primary Router and your Wifi device connecting to the extender. I have a question.....I plugged the repeater into the wall outlet and I get a red light at the very top and a blinking green light for WiFi. the video shows a green solid light for the LAN.

When I click on the WiFi icon for the repeater it tells me 'couldn't get IP address'

Hey Nick. What Windows operating system are you using? I am running 8.1 and it just keeps scanning and spinning and cannot seem to find my router wifi network. Any tips or help? Not sure why it cannot find my network. Thanks for your help.

But will this work if my computer doesn’t have a wireless WiFi card in it or Bluetooth? Will the WiFi repeater show up in the WiFi list? Also this product has taken over 2 weeks to ship to me and I still don’t have it

We have an issue with the repeater. How can I fix an issue with this device. When I am connected the web sites I always use. The websites do not recognize me. Then they ask for me to setup new accounts. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

DO you have to use the ethernet cable or can it be used wirelessly to an outdoor tower used for multiple users/
Both ways, but needs a Internet connection via a router.

Try a different browser. And you might have to the Reset Repeater and go through the setup procedure again.
Hi I followed instructions put in 162.168.10.1 but it would not let me go any further to put in Username admin and password admin.
It also says connected but not locked unsafe. How do you correct this?

Hey great video, only 192.168.10.1 isn't responding for me. Is it out of date or more likely a problem with my repeater?
Go to Start menu > right click Start menu > Go to the "Run" command line > type: cmd and press enter > in DOS window type: ipconfig > Your Default Gateway IP address is your IP address to be used in your browser to access your router.

Howzabout resetting the device for my MacBook Pro?
Your MacBook Pro supports 802.11 a/b/n and should be able to connect to the Extender without having to reset it. However, you might need to change SSID on your Mac. You can do this by clicking on the wifi icon in the menu bar > then click on Open Network Preferences.
It won’t let me on the 192.168.10.1 and says it’s protected by my firewall

During the setup the "Security Key" is the same as main "Router Password".
When I type in the web address I get a “sit can’t be reached” error please help
You must change the ipv4 from your pc connection to 192.168.10.111
and the third option (i don't remember the name) to 192.168.10.1

I have this same Wifi repeater and I have run into issues with my setup. The process seemed fine but I gave my amplified signal a name/SSID unrelated to the original network and I was never able to establish an internet connection.
I am now trying to reset my repeater to its default settings by holding the reset button but the reset fails to work every time. The new network I have created remains among my network options and I can no longer access the 192.168.10.1 setup page.
Do you think my repeater's reset button just does not work?

Your Reset Button could be broken and not working, but give this a try: Using the RESET button press and hold for a "REAL" 12-15 seconds while it's plugged into a wall outlet and power is on, then release the RESET button and go through the setup steps again as shown in my video. Also try moving the Extender closer to where your router is located while setting it up, then you can move it if you need to. Also when setting it up double check that you are using the correct wifi password to connect to your router with the Extender during setting it up.

The "Security Key" is your wifi password that you use to connect to your primary router with your laptop computer or smartphone.

Once a extender setup has been completed, that old temporary setup IP network is deleted. This is why you can not get back into the setup. In order to get back into setup again will need to perform a repeater reset by using the RESET button (press and hold for a REAL 12-14 seconds) while it's plugged into a wall outlet and power is on, then release the RESET button and go through the setup steps again as shown in my video. Also try moving the Extender closer to where your router is located while setting it up, then you can move it if you need to.

It worked at first but now all my network area says when I trouble shoot it .... invalid IP address .... how do I fix it ....
Have you tried this? Power off your primary WiFi router/modem for 10 minutes and your computer/laptop too, then power your WiFi router and computer/laptop back on and wait a few minutes and try connecting with your computer/laptop.
The video title says the device is a repeater/extender. You show how to set it up it as a repeater. How about as an extender? You didn't explain the difference.

Yes, use the default username and password (admin,admin) unless they have been manually changed during a previous setup.

All i did was run a extension cord to my TV and plug it into my TV showing it connected and receiving with a solid green light ~ No signed in, and pass word crap ~ I use it for my TV only ~ So it must connected Automatic with my router signal

Can't get it to show a green light. Always red.

Strange, without this extender I have 3 stripes and with extender I have full connection HOWEVER, download speed twice better without extender!!! Why?

I bought this one about 2 years ago. It's complete crap. The software never saves the settings. I performed a factory reset about 20 times and it never ever worked. Do not buy!
The wifi repeater is useless i have wasted all my money on it .
