I originally thought it was gonna be a joke about alien cuisine. Instead I get a horrific accident and a traumatized lizard person. Great story and narration, you have a great voice.
I think I know the story you're talking about, a Human is on a frontier planet Xenos use for training exercises, and they think their squad is going to easily capture or kill the Human, only to watch in horror as he fashions a set of bolos or spear or something, kills and eats an Avian Xeno because he's hungry and has no idea they're sentient. Sorry, but I don't remember the name or story number.
Hello! I never got around to saying this but thank you for reading my story! The last year has been insane and I'm sorry this slipped through the cracks. It's crazy looking and seeing someone did an audio reading of my story! I do have one tiny suggestion in the future though. I see you censored the swears. I'm 2000% understanding of the fact you would like to keep it clean on your channel, but just in the future I would suggest you ask the author what words they would like to substitute; there were a few in here that the character definitely would not have said. Overall, thank you! The way you said the last line really put a smile on my face!!!
I know this comment is two years old, but I like what Firefly did with swearing, they translated it to Chinese. That gave it an alien feel to English speakers, kept it mostly clean for the audience, and avoided censorship that was too dumb to keep up. Plus, it just made sense that if Earth were to grow into a apscefaring race, it would require all the various independent nations to develop some co-dependence.
why didn't he eat the ones that were already dead? seems like a waste to wait for the fresh one, thats good meat thats steady rotting, you gotta get it while it's still good. save the lizard for last.
I've had that when I was doing some work in Texas, I was merely curious but it was surprisingly good. Don't know if it was how it was made, or how it just is, but it tasted like spicy shrimp to me.
Okay, wow. I feel wrong in liking the title, as I think it implies that it’s happen and this is more a memory. Though I can’t say for sure(would have to be tasted, instead) if I’m right
The idea of boiled chicken is to cook it passed when you over cooked it until its not over cooked anymore. Taking it out of soup, might taste fine, but the texture isn't great. It has to be boiled to stringy, not cooking it enough might work in soup too. Maybe if cooked like ramen noodles, it would be good out of soup
Depends how its done and how much broth the skin holds also if you are hungry anything is easily 10 times better. If boiled enough the bones are edible and share some flavor back to the meat add spices then boil off the water leaving the flavor concentrated in the pan . that or make soup. soup is more economical. Reuse bones for next batch till dead soft. However if you got a lobster pot of water and boil it as is then leave the skin in the pot and boil out the flavor of the chicken then serve the flavorless chicken its not good unless you do something to add new taste to it
FOR THE HORDE! I doubt any creature sp dense as to quote regulation like this in this kind of a situation would ever become space fairing. It's just too dense and empty headed to ask.

Xeno: Human you are not following proper...
Human: GET IN MAH BELLY!
lol
That was a great story and a great narration. Everything that human said was completely true.
And this is why you do not interrupt a human engineer in the middle of saving your life with inane questions about protocol.
Trying to find the story about a captured human eating bird aliens and freaking out their leadership.

That would totally be a human thing to ask as well... What did he taste like.

Agro Squerrils good point
