But people just enjoy complaining all the time about everything. Yes, it can never be the same without Chester. But Emily is equally unique, passionate and talented and did so much to deserve our trust. Her whole heart is music and that can be heard and felt from miles away! And she fits so well. Really a shame to see this crap all day long. It's ungrateful to Mike, Dave, Brad and Joe. I cannot imagine loving the IDEA called Linkin Park and not feeling these guys as close to your heart as Chester... The sound, the singing or the band name have nothing to do with it. It's about overcoming our EGO, being kind and giving a chance. We need to move on and heal. A person is here to help with this impossible task and many people disrespect that. Maybe we don't deserve Emily.

But if any fan watched Mike’s post traumatic videos and saw how happy he is now, I don’t understand why that’s not enough to celebrate msuic and the joy it brings.
It just makes no sense to me! Like, Chesters wife supports this new era! Mike and the other guys knew Chester better than any of us, have been through more griefing and stuff, were more emotional invested than any of us could ever be! So let them guys continue, let them live their lives and give Chester a rest! If people like the new era great enjoy the music and if people dont like it, great too, just dont listen to it and be done with it!

It’s mostly due to her ties to Scientology in the fact she supported a rapist. To make things even worse for her, both Chester‘s mother and oldest son jumped on the bandwagon as well. Chester‘s mother said that she felt betrayed by the band for continuing without Chester. She’s also not comfortable with Emily singing his songs. Chester’s oldest son Jamie said that Mike is trying to erase their past which is ridiculous.
I love Emily and im so happy they went with a female lead. Also Emily was a fan of LP since Hybrid Theory so im sure she wouldnt want to "replace" him as she knows she cant. Also look at the way she is in gigs, she lets the crowd sing alot of the older songs instead of her. She lets them take the place of Chester which is what Mike said in the beginning.
I think that with time those same people will realize how wrong they are, and how stupid, i already see some people changing their opinion, and also, who cares, they're selling out full arena concerts, i saw them live last month, and she killed it, she was the best choice for the band, its a new chapter, I can't wait to see what is gonna happen in the future

I think the number of true Linkin Park fans that still hate Emily is very small but they are extremely loud and dedicated to spewing as much hate as possible. I can only imagine that small group are mentally unable to process Chester's death and the choice he made and as long as Linkin Park does not exist, they can continue to idolize someone who is no longer here with us. What they fail to realize, nothing has changed from September 5th, when Linkin Park came back. All the old music and videos are still there. It is fine if they don't like Emily's sound, in which case they can move on to something else. But to visit every video or Insta post just to spew hate, really speaks volumes as to their character, or lack thereof. If anything, they should jump back on the Linkin Park bandwagon as this will only help younger generations find those older recordings with Chester. As for Emily's ability to help Linkin Park move forward, I think she is more than capable and fits the band extremely well. I think her versatility is second to none and gives the band limitless potential to do some really unique and groundbreaking type stuff. Her clean vocals are pristine. Her screams are multi-faceted from high pitched to lower guttural outbursts. Her ability to blend from cleans into harsh vocals and back again is so smooth. She is just an all around great vocalist. By the way, Mike said they would release a video soon of the recording session for "Heavy Is The Crown" in which the 15 second scream was Emily's first take of the recording. She did a few more takes on it with some being longer than 17 seconds and some being shorter than 15 seconds but decided to keep the first take.
Well, so toxic that after the last LP release with Chester, the singer was telling fans to f** off and saying he wanted to punch them in the mouth and k**l them. He later apologized and two months later took his own life. Healthy relationship.

If I'm being completely honest, I'm not really that fond of the new album. I find it pretty solid throughout, but not many songs I'd consider keepers... BUT, all the nonsense about Emily Armstrong makes me want to like it more! People picking at petty rubbish to have something to whinge about is quite the annoyance. I went to the show in London and everyone there was a Linkin Park fan, wanting to hear Linkin Park songs, knowing fully well that they were going to sound different but accepting of that fact. There was no need to change the name when an accepting fanbase had already been worked on, the only people that they are losing are the ones that were never true LP fans.
I find this way of thinking very interesting. Why should other grown adults bow to the wishes of others? Mike and the band own the rights to the name Linkin Park. Why would they even entertain a name change, which they did consider. By the way, there is a quote from Chester to the members of Stone Temple Pilots, from when he joined them. STP was considering a name change when Chester was added and he said "no, why would you ever consider changing the name of something you worked so hard to build as a group?" (loosely quoted)
There would be no Chester without Mike in the first place. Mike has every right to move forward with his band that he created and Chester never wanted to be bigger then the band itself. People who feel this way are actually going against Chesters wishes
