As far as the content, it really doesn’t matter. I believe most people watch because of you! Your personality, your humor and your knowledge or lack there of. You are what we all believe we all are, a common person just trying to get by day to day and accomplish the tasks that we have before us.
You take on projects that we think about but aren’t quite sure how to do it. You give us inspiration to tackle our own projects!
Thanks for your words. these words kept me from having to think this morning. More coffee!
Not nearly as kurt (mean) as DP is to ppl in his comment thread.
Its not what you go through, its how you deal with it.
I was trying to say JUST that and had started when i gazed at the comments below... Well said buddy, it's SO true:
I'm here for the "Kleeman Show". And it just so happens that the content aligns pretty well with what I do myself... hacking my way through life 🙂
My thoughts exactly. When I came to the channel, Mike was uncovering an abandoned house foundation and clearing the area with his homemade Whoppa Choppa. I was intrigued by his ingenuity at being able to make tools fit the job. I was also in enamored with his humor and his approach to things not working out-he always finds a way to get the job done. I like the variety of content, even though I’m not into mechanical repairs. I watch them anyway so I don’t miss something he says that makes me chuckle.
Agreed
I’m not a usual viewer…. I’m a 70 yr old woman. I started watching with the beginning of making the roads and the timber bridge. The TH-cam yacht started then as well. I’m amazed how you can use ratchets and pulleys to moving things into place by yourself.
The video that brought me to the channel was DP lol. I stayed because of the variety of content, the optimism you have to tackle any project, and you’re super funny.
Same for me. I enjoy the commentary along with the work being done at the time. Mike makes me smile and sometimes laugh out loud. Seriously though, I like that Mike isn’t intimidated by anything he is working on as well as being inventive when necessary. Rock On Mike.
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Yup.
Same as above. Not being critical of DP but watch all of your videos and have a hard time watching Dirt Perfect. Your content and variety is always fresh. We travel from Southern Illinois to Eastern Ind / Ky / Ohio a couple of times a year to see family. Have driven through Derby several times and would love to meet you in person someday and see in person a few of your projects. Mike Stegle - Anna, Il.
Agreed, same here. Trying to harness some of your continuous optimism, hoping it is infectious thru viewing, so far results may be mixed on this end 😂 Always enjoy the variety of the projects, have a good one!!👍
What brought me to your channel was DP, but it was you, your personality that makes me keep coming back. You could read the dictionary and make it interesting.
For me it was from the guest roles of "Captain vs. Truck mirrors"!!!! I came for that, and I have stayed because of who you are, what you do, and how you do it!!! The humor is what I love. You are my spirit animal sir!! 😊
I keep coming back because of you. You never know what you’re going to say or do. You’re funny and talented and not afraid to take on something you’ve never done before.
I came after seeing you on DP and stayed for your humor and your single-handed abilities! Carry on Captain anyway you want to, and I'll be watching!
I'm not here for any particular project. I'm here for the full Capt. Kleeman experience.
You being you is what got me here. Enjoy everything you work on
Was searching for jd 955, 855, and 755 content, and your channel came up with the quick tach conversion. Been watching ever since. You never disapoint with your content. Thanks for the entertainment.
Started watching with the rebuild of the 555. Retired operator, welder, mechanic. Stayed for all the rest. Love your tenacity and your just flat out fun to watch !!
What brought me to your channel was when you were working with Dirt Perfect and from what I remember your pond. What keeps me coming back is you resourcefulness is whatever you do. I have enjoyed the Chicken Coop build, rebuilding the 855, working on the World Headquarters and how you do it all by yourself for the most part, hardly ever see you with any help. I do not pass on any of your post and there no fluff in your videos. Thanks for the content and for your service as a Firefighter.
I can't remember the first video I watched of yours but you're a unique gentleman. Your ability to tackle anything that you put your mind to without giving up when it gets hard is the reason I've watched consistently since. It also amuses me when I see you make cameo appearances on the other channels I watch. Thanks for the videos and entertainment!
All of it! Pond build/rebuild, TH-cam yacht, church etc!! Love it all!!
The world headquarters series is what brought me to the channel. Then I got into the dump truck and a few ford 555 videos.
Mike what brought me to your channel was you, your humour, your joyful disposition, and your ability to do things i was certain was a 2 man job, and you keep proving me wrong all the time, it doesn't matter what you post it's all good 👍👍👍👍👍
I can’t speak for anyone else but I was hooked after watching a very short video of objectionable quality of someone shooting off fireworks. Been hooked ever since. If ya know you know. 🐶
I found your channel at the small stone bridge.
Thank you.
What will keep me with your channel?
It will be moving back and forth from project to project exactly what you're doing.
I'm 66 and I am physically challenged now. but I do enjoy watching you problem-solve and articulate both sets of your building and mechanical engineering skills, which are not easy to do.
Brings back fond memories.
Grateful for your channel😊
The video that brought me here was 3 years ago…Clearing Land for a Future Build site. First time I saw you use the Whoppa Choppa ! Thought that design was brilliant so I kept watching! I stay for the variety, your amazing ingenuity, knowledge, humor, honesty, and hard work! Thanks, Mike! Viewer for life, here.
I think I started to watch when you got the backhoe from Clint. I like all of the content you post. The variety and lightheartedness keeps me coming back
This series definitely brought me to the channel but all the other projects have kept me!
Pretty sure I got here when DP mentioned your channel, back when you were still better known for your mirror-killing abilities. Your personality and approach are what keep me coming back for whatever content appears.
You yourself brought me to the channel. You funny, hilarious at times and your very informative with what and why your doing what you’re doing. I love all of your episodes no matter what you’re doing. You, dirt perfect and Sonne farms are my daily watches. Keep doing what you’re doing. I love it.
Don't remember how I came across the channel but it was during the chicken/goat shed build. Enjoy them all!
found your channel from watching dirt perfect, stayed because i like your personality and style, i find all your projects interesting, but id say its because of how you present the project and tell the story
Well said!
I have unsubscribed to some popular channels because you can only watch some guy operating an excavator so long before you lose interest. So, it is partially because of the variety that makes your channel desirable. Also, as others have said, you have the perfect presence for TH-cam. Its you, Mike.
Keep right on what you're doing Mike. The variety of content you have keeps me coming back for every episode. Variety is the spice of life, after all. And you do inspire folks to try new things on their own.
I don't remember what brought me to this channel but I subscribed when the goat barn and chicken coop build was started.
Backhoe thumb video immediately after buying my old 580c and wanting a thumb. Stayed for every other project because it's all great!
YT Yacht Project brought me to the channel but it was the Hoosier charm why I stayed. :)
The wooden bridge brought me to your channel. I had recently purchased my ranch and I have a creek cutting off the back 8 acres. I was trying to figure out if there was a way to build a bridge without getting into crazy money. That's why I found you, but you are the reason I stayed. I love all the content you put out there and it has given me so many ideas of things I want to do with my property. In fact, my new sawmill just arrived yesterday and I'll be making lumber in the very near future. Keep going - you're great!!!
I appreciate the cardboard model. I wish more people would do this, instead of running head first into the unknown with heavy materials.
Mike, I've been a subscriber for so long that I don't actually remember what brought me here. I think it was when I was watching DP's channel, and he mentioned you had your own channel. So, I came here, and I'm never leaving....and you can't make me! LOL I enjoy all of your content, some more than others, but it is YOU that brings me back for more and more. You have such a contagious personality, and you are WAY more intelligent that you think. You constantly amaze me with all of your projects. You can do anything you set your mind to. Keep the videos coming!
Good morning Mike. Enjoy watching all of the video content. Don't change the way you do the videos on your channel. Thanks again. Variety is what makes your channel.
I second that 👍🏻
Dirt perfect channel was what brought me here and my favorite content is when you repair stuff like the dump truck build or the 555 backhoe
What brought me to your channel? Your resourcefulness, sense of humor, practical skills, breath of knowledge, down to earth values, drive, love of family...I could go on. "But a fellas gotta stop somewhere, it's good, it's all good."
I don't remember what it was I initially came here for - barn build? Pond build? Don't remember. I've got a broad range of interests so I'm into about 93.72% of the projects you get into. Your sense of humor and presentation of it all keeps me looking forward to Monday and Thursday mornings.
The pond led me here. I stayed because of how entertaining and clever you are at figuring stuff out! Watching from New Zealand
Mike, I found your channel when you were doing the dirt work, but have stayed with ya because I like your outlook/work ethic on ALL your projects. Being a fellow firefighter, I enjoy seeing what you do in your "off time". There are always gonna be folks that find something to complain about, instead of finding the things to enjoy. I say keep doing what you are doing for the people that enjoy your channel.
TH-cam's algorithm posted your video from three years ago when your title included Pond because I was planning to built a tiny frog pond in my garden. Since then, I watch all of your videos on the TH-cam Yacht, as well as anything you are building out of land, rock, or wood.
Came for the Triple Nickel, stayed for the fancy. 👌Keep up the good work!
Ford 555… and all of it is good. What keeps me coming back is the unbridled optimism, humor, and as a reminder that unforeseen problems can be handled with a laugh or a sledge hammer (when necessary)! Your enthusiasm is infectious.
Well said!
All of the content is good
Diversity is key
Sense of humor.... Awesome!
Personally I like everything you post. You’re not afraid to tackle anything and you always learn and work really hard to do it right and make it look good. 👍👍👍
The log bridge is the first video i found of yours when you first started that, however long ago that was. I watch everything of yours because of your attitude, humor and the variety of content. I love the attitude of "I'm not a welder, I'm just a guy with a welder". I will continue to watch whatever you put out. Thanks for the great videos.
MIKE, I really don't know how I found your channel, BUT I enjoy all the builds, your work ethic, enthusiasm, willingness to tackle a project, and the ability of problem solving. I'm 68, have done many things as you, working on projects by myself and admire the fact, you can juggle all of them with a plan and purpose staying focused to fruition! Stay safe and healthy to enjoy the fruits of your labor in life!
Hundred percent agree with that I think it was watching DP I found you and every project is additive watching looking forward to the next episode whatever it is
Any project just as long you're doing it. I love your personality.
I've been watching you since you were working for Dirt Perfect. I love ALL your projects. It's called life with willingness to learn how to do anything.
I was rebuilding a ford 4600 tractor with the same engine as your 555 so that’s what brought me to your channel and have watched everything you do since. I’m also from Indiana
My favorite Captain Kleeman videos are the ones about land-clearin, timber-fallin, concrete-pourin, dirt-haulin, brush-clearin, septic tank-settin, basement -diggin, ditch-excavatin, dirt-dumpin, tough-weldin, Mack truck-drivin, driveway-buildin, frozen ground-diggin, pile-drivin, dump truck-drivin, concrete-poring, spray foam-insulatin, tree-clearin, stoen-spreadin, stair-buildin, chainsaw-sharpnin, equipment-haulin, bee-dodgin, tire-changin, pipe-layin, engine-removin, topsoil-haulin, land-clearin, brush-burnin, church-demolishin, truck-repairin, culvert-installin, pond-buildin, belltower-movin, bridge-buildin, and chicken-coopin. Keep em coming!
I came for the backhoe restore, but discovered that I enjoy all your content.
When you used to work for DP he plugged your channel and I discovered the youtube yacht project and I went back to watch the videos from its inception. I stayed because I enjoy all your hands on content and your positivity mixed with humor. Thanks Mike.
Hey Captain it was dirt perfect that got me over to your channel, all your videos are great and have enjoyed them all keep up the good work 👍🏻
I found you when you were fixing the pond dam, but have stayed ever since for the entertainment, lightheartedness, and positive can do attitude that you give out in all your videos…. The content isn’t half bad either!!! Congrats from the U.K.!!
You drug me in when working with Mike now I’m just here enjoying the show. You’re very inspiring sir.
The backhoe rebuild brought me here. But I enjoy it all. Great work Mike, and thank you!
Your ad-lib approach to building is just the way I do it. Keep it up.
Your outro is why I subscribed. I liked your sense of humor when you worked for DP. I watch every episode, but I very rarely comment. I enjoy it all. I even learn things.
Came for the Eggxcavator Challenge. Stayed for the variety of projects, humor, positivity and inspiration. One of only a couple of channels that inspires me to take on my own bigger projects and to learn new skills.
I don't remember what brought me here, but one of the first series I watched was the Fubaru, and that's exactly the type of project I have done, though at a smaller scale. I have done a lot of similar projects mostly working on my own and your sense of humor is much like mine. Watching you frame that roof and wrestle with the plastic reminds me if when I moved a building. I ended up reframing the roof because I had no way to lift the sections of rafter+ sheathing up by myself. the best day of that summer was getting the tar paper on the roof so it was basically waterproof so I didn't have to take up about an hour of working time to take the tarp off in the morning and put it back on at night.
I came over from DP. I stayed because your channel like his is not all the same. It’s the variety that I like seeing not the same video week after week. Plus it’s a lot like my life down to earth budget friendly and work with what you have.
I Watch for the variety, the humor / sarcasm, your enginuity, and the run what ya brung format. Keep up the good work.
Honestly, I found your videos when you started the little shed and dump truck. Glad I did!
What got me here was your honesty in who you are. You know I really enjoy the 555 series and relate, but enjoy all the varied content.
To me it’s not about the builds it’s about the host. Love the positivity on everything you do.
I came to The channel because of the church salvage. I subscribe because I like your multiple personalities. Keep up the captain cleanman channel on the plane cleanman channel because it's always entertaining.
I worked on sea going tugs back in the day, our company would do all the welding, fabrication and maintenance on these tugboats for Crowley Maritime and they’re a worldwide company! They weren’t paddle wheel tugs though! These had twin 20 cylinder engines that were 18-20 long in the engine room! Please they had two diesel generators as well! I worked on them for 13 years! They would tow a 380 foot container and eighteen wheeler trailers, later they cut them in half and added a section in and they were 725 feet long! The tugs were 180 feet long and stored 200,000 gallons of fuel aboard! It was a pretty big operation! We made plenty hours out there! I wish I had some pictures of them, I don’t know the overall horsepower of them but the screws ( propellers) were stainless steel and 12 feet outside diameter! Huge suckers! Thanks for sharing Mike, see you in the next video! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻
Very cool!
I thoroughly love the variety of projects and especially the attitude of “can do” and as necessary, “make do”.
I searched building a barn and your channel popped up and I watched the whole series (even though you didn’t finish 😂) and stayed for the rest of the content. My favorite channel by far!
Captain,
I was watching Tractor Time with Tim one day and was introduced to Officer Hoover. Officer Hoover led me to Dirt Perfect. Dirt Perfect had a young fellow working for him that while hard on mirrors, was fun to watch. And that Sir is how I started watching you. I don’t care if it is a chicken-goat barn, a timber bridge or a rock bridge, I figure if you can build a Whopper Chopper then a dump truck should be a snap.
Sincerely
The Other Tim with Tractors
What brought me to your channel is dirt perfect watching dirt perfect when you were on it but then when I went to your channel, your positive attitude and I like the variety of what’s going on
We started watching the trucking and dirt work. Or maybe it was the woodworking project. ..we enjoy all aspects of the channel
The shenanigans that DP would describe of you is what brought me to the channel.
I was introduced to your channel from DP when the tree jumped out and broke the mirror on the C3800,
I stayed for the personality that is Cap'n Kleeman and ALL his endeavors on ALL his projects!
I still say you can back a trailer better than DP! 👍🤣
Came over from DP channel I like the “scattered” content it never gets old or boring
I came for the dirt work videos, but stayed because I enjoy your humor and style of video. I watch a lot of channels that I feel are similar, like OWTM, Dig Drive DIY, Dirt Perfect, etc.
I came after seeing you on DP's channel and have never been disappointed. You and DP are my must watch channels every week
Started watching when you were cutting the road through the trees, over the hill and building a bridge over your creek 🤔. I’m in! You make me laugh! 🤣😂😁 68 yoa and recently retired, in Oklahoma. You got more energy than I ever had. 👏👏
Good Morning! the first video i watched on you channel was the wood bridge, but to me it realy does not matter what you are doing. i Love watching your channel! Please just keep doing what you do!! your river boat is looking Awesome! have a Blessed and Safe day! GOD' Bless your whole family. Amen :)
Mike, I like all the videos you post. Your sense of humor and personality keep me coming back!
I enjoyed watching Young people building I retired as a DNR Officer- ground keeper. Lots of winter boulds.
You know, I don’t remember which video brought me to your channel, but I’m glad for the one it did. I’m always amazed by what you do and it doesn’t make a difference what you’re working. It’s always interesting and I look forward to your next video. Thanks for sharing.
I have been watching since the early days with DP I enjoy watching the variety of jobs you tackle and your positive attitude. You are never afraid to tackle new things and take advice from experts. The quality I love on your videos is your sense of humour and your never quit attitude keep up the good work.👍
Yes, I've been with you since DP as well. You were working on... (well your always working) moving pipe to a field for drainage. You were working at your brothers camp property, the shed build / chicken coop, beautiful pond, church gazebo, cutting trees, making a grader for your drive way, self teaching yourself to weld, fixing garden tractors, clearing land, making bridge's, a very cool fubaru, repairing a storage court shop, tearing down a church, rebuilding a loader, and so on and so on. I know a missed quite a few, those are from memory. I just love what you do, and most important, you make me smile when I'm working on my projects and ask myself "I wonder what Matt would say about this". Keep on keepin on, I can't wait!
Dig Drive DIY sent me. Stayed for the honest approach to, well, everything.
I came to the channel because of your tenacious work ethic, personality and backyard knowledge of getting things done with all the help you have especially since I have the same amount of help around my place. Good on you Mike. Stay focused on your priorities and projects but mostly your family.
Hi Captain, I have watched you for a long time and you have always kept me coming back as I never know what's going to be todays content. Whatever that content is I find it immensely entertaining and interesting .I will be watching you till the day I die,.👍
I stumbled onto your channel a while back because its similar in content to other channels I watch. The hilarity as well as the seemingly random bouncing back and forth between projects is what keeps it interesting. I like what you do and the way you do it. Keep it up.
If I remember right, one of your TH-cam yacht videos was the first video I saw on your channel. The YT yacht is one of my favorite projects, along with the dump truck build, and the world headquarters renovation. But, I have enjoyed everything I've seen so far and look forward to whatever you post each week!
You were trying out a borrowed saw mill and I was thinking about getting one. Came to the same conclusion as you. Stayed and kept watching your videos cause you are a wholesome down to earth nice guy who does interesting stuff.
I came to your channel via DP but your creativity, resoursefulness and vision are what keep me coming back. As far as content; I enjoy it all.
what brought me to your channel was the stone bridge.been hooked ever since. know matter what you do.
The video that got me started was your pond build video. Then all your other projects have made your channel one of the ones I follow the closest. Just like seeing what you are working on. The way you approach problems and figure things out amazes me, and that’s why I watch.
I found you via DPs channel. It was your personality that made me want to check out your channel. I then got the benefit of an awesome, funny personality who has mad skills, a lot of curiosity and no fear to take on a challenge. Win, win, win.
The two people who came for a specific topic can move on to the next channel.
I'm staying because I learn something and your one liners are the best.
By far my favorite channel.
Thanks, Greg
Mike you just being you is what I enjoy about all of your project videos,I’ve watched you from D.P. Days, your attitude, demeanor.work ethic, your commitment to family.plus many more.plus you are funny as hell with your antics.ok that’s enough build up for your brain.continue doing your thing 👍👍👍😎😎😎
DDD brought me to the channel. Neil started working on his truck cab and said you were building a truck from 3 bodies. So I came for the Franken-Truck and I’m eagerly awaiting the results. I like the 555 rebuild and the world headquarters. I here to support guys like you and Neil Koch. I turned off traditional TV a year ago. I hope you make it big enough someday to hire a mechanic!!
Best explanation of our Infrastructure in this country that I have heard!! Love whatever you do Captain (and Admiral 😁) Your involvement with DP brought me here. Your work ethic and your humor keeps me here. You're a pretty smart fella, Ridge-man. If it doesn't fit, don't commit. Always wishing you the very best and pray that you will be abundantly blessed. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
Morning Cap. I love all your videos because you add a variety of everything. So it’s not just doing one particular thing like a lot of other channels ❤️❤️!
The timber bridge got me interested but now I love all the projects. Keep doing what you do Mike please 👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
I've been with you for quite a few years, i came for the dirt work, but stayed cause i love all the projects you just jump right in and make a hand at. Take care Captain...
All of your videos are pretty interesting. You are much more talented than you let on. We like your content. I've been watching this channel for about 4 years.
