    What do the Gurus say about: What is life? What is the point and purpose of life? Why were we created? What is reincarnation? What is Haumai? What is Naam? What does Guru do for us?

    I had the experience of the Naam! I didn't realized why that word was so powerful at the time. It became so familiar and ancient. It is amazing that many of the experiences spoken of here will happen, even if one does the know to expect them. These will happen in meditation and if the Guru Granth Sahib is Jap'ed. Wahe guru indeed!

      I am grateful to WaheGuru i will share something with you. The Naam AKA Shabad so ancient Bc WaheGuru created this game with this Naam that come from his mouth. " You created the vast expanse of the Universe with One Word".
      Is that Naam shabad is so sharp to listen yet? Do your tongue also taste like sweetness, your mouth become watery?
      The purpose of JAAP simran is to stop thoughts and to connect our mind with NAAM. After Jaap Simran when our thoughts stop (remember we still keep our eyes closed) than our mind go to SUNYA emptiness. You can lay down and listen Naam in Sunya easy if you take your focus on ears. Than with his grace the light illuminate the SatGuru showup.

      Beautiful thought, however, the essence of Sikh is the disciple of Guru. There are millions of people born in Sikh families don’t accept God and Guru as their mentor.

    Sat Sri Akaal brother, thanks for your question. There is a video we've made "Who is the Sikh God" that can help. The Gurus gave many names to Vaheguru, including Graceful, forgiving, mother, father, so Vaheguru is definitely a loving God. But also Vaheguru is immanent in everything, permeating every single thing and yet Vaheguru is separate from it all...essentially, all and more. If we could understand Vaheguru and write it down, then we would write forever (pointless) but we can connect!

    • @goalee7663
      @goalee7663 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rockingrishi1407 With due respect, Sikhi is much more than that. Vedanta does not stress on selfless service as a means to unity with God, it doesn't have the concept of armed saint-soldiers. I mean it's similar but not identical, just like there are similarities with Islam too. The truth remains the truth whatever mode or form or practices it is revealed through. Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is jagat guru not just for the natives of the subcontinent. :)

      @@goalee7663 Vedanta is a philosophy not religion in itself . But the aim is enlightenment or self realisation. Yes you are write Vedanta dosent talk of service but karma yoga does. Also if you study the life of great people post enlightenment like Ramana Maharishi or Swami Vivekananda or Adi Shankaracharya it's full of service. Infact the greatest good we can do to the world is after being enlightened we should see the same god everywhere and in everyone . Only then can you serve without discrimination.

    I am a follower of Vivekananda . I don't know much about Sikhism. But guru Nanak ji had taught about ek. Which is exactly similar to adveta Vedanta and other branches of Vedanta. I am so glad that sikh brothers had helped us do away with social evils like casteism. Sikhs are a beautiful community of serving people. Please take steps to spread the message of Guru Nanak ji far and wide. Recently I read an article where 125 people were converted by Catholics and RSS re converted them back to Sikhism. It's sad that we don't know our own cultural significance. We are one when it comes to sanatan dharma.

    • @goalee7663
      @goalee7663 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We all are one Sikhs/Hindus/Muslims/Christians/Jews/Zoroastrians/Rastafarians/Atheists/etc everybody. Nobody is more important than others. I don't think it's proper for an organisation to make people convert/reconvert their faith. Sikhs would've done it if they wanted but that's against their faith because everybody has a choice and you can't impose one on anybody. The better thing would've been to help vulnerable people socio-economically so nobody can lure them into their fold.

    Hi, most of this can be explained using Google and wikipedia. Re-incarnation in Sikhi has one main difference from Hinduism, for us all humans are the same, with same purpose and no caste system or gender specific purpose. Yes, you're right that the Soul is that which re-incarnates, transmigration is also a term used to describe this.

    Is Vaheguru a personal god like Vishnu is for the Vaishnavas, or Allah is for the Muslims? Or is Vaheguru an impersonal, immanent god (an all-encompassing force), like Adi Shankara's Brahman ("aham brahmasmi"), or the concept of God in later European Pantheism (the universe and everything in it is God)?

    I want to be a sikh but I think Guru Gobind Singh kinda ruined in for the rest of the world by making it mandatory to wear the turban and not cut your beard or hair.
    I know he did this because he wanted Sikh's to have some form of accountability but because it has that it locks people of other races out from being able to join I think. I wish someone of the Sikh faith would modernize this rule. I'd even be inclined to get the symbol tattooed across my body in place of that. Carrying a hidden blade or comb doesn't bother me either.

      U can still be a Sikh but then again Sikhs are the decibels of the gurus.. If u rlly want to be a Sikh then start off slow doing simran everyday then eventually start reading bani with all your heart even in Guru Granth Sahib ji it says by doing simran all affairs shall be arranged

    • @karanveerdutt880

      And your keeping hair is extremely important as it is the way waheguru has made us it is also our natural form, another thing our hair it speaks to us as you know when u grow older ur hair becomes white this is because it is telling u that u have little time left in this world basically telling u that if ur on the wrong path now is the time that u should be devoted in worshiping the almighty

    • @tarsem344
      @tarsem344 ปีที่แล้ว

      It wasn't just accountability, there was a need to arm people so they could defend themselves and others. All Panj Kakaar help us in a practical way, they are not just some religious symbols to show off. You may get a tattoo of a Khanda, but that doesn't make one a Sikh, not even in the slightest. A real Sikh lives a Gursikhi lifestyle, helps those in need, keeps good health/fitness, focus on Naam Bani, lives IN society rather than as a recluse, respects people of all faiths and background and must be ready to lay his/her life down for others in the name of dharm(righteousness). I don't know about you, but those are pretty solid values to have in my book.
      We cut our hair because of trends. What you call modern will one day be laughed at. We are influenced by celebrities and people on TV/social media that one must have such and such appearance to be acceptable. Our self esteem and confidence is shattered daily. Who's virtues are better and will serve humanit now and in the future to come, them, or Maharaj Ji's? You decide ji 🙏
