I know this video is old, but I’d like to share my thoughts on a need to update an old game as a game developer myself. The short answer is no, devs are not required to update their games. Disappointing, yes, but the way I see it is if there’s not as much interest in the game or your studio is already starting new projects, you don’t need to spend resources continuing to support an old game. If they do have the time, resources, and outspoken demand for an update, then yeah I can see the studio wanting to continue to make improvements, but overall, they’re not required.
Also, I’m definitely buying this game now, thanks for the review!
