Very nice. I'm in the process of clearing out part of a garage for our workshop. I created an invention a few years ago that has 12 sheet metal parts (16 ga) and 7 rivets. It was expensive to get the parts tooled (stamped). There's also no way I can get high enough volume for an order to make the price per part cost effective unless I order 10,000 of each piece. Then I discovered CNC plasma cutters. I'm looking into getting a Crossfire Pro with the Everlast 82i. My price per part will be so much cheaper and I can make 10 at a time if that all I need at the moment! Each of my parts have a couple of 5mm (.2 inch) diameter holes in 16 gauge. I've read that you can use a 62i torch (smaller diameter consumables) with the 82i. Do you think that would be necessary or would the 82i machine torch cut .2 inch holes cleanly (they don't have to be perfect)? I have two everlast torches with machine heads. One is 60 amp and the other is 50amp. I’m seriously thinking of buying one. Looks like they would be compatible. They have machine plugs as well. They’re saying 2 week shipping time now. Good to hear your reviews.

I can cut 3/4" pretty cleanly by hand with my 62i. Try a piece with the 82, I'm sure it'll do it. Looking forward to getting a table set up for it in the future.
Have you had a chance to make a cut chart? I have tried lots of settings but cuts are not as clean as yours, i would buy a copy of the cut chart if you did

Glad you like them! I want to say the kerf is something like .054 but I don't know off the top of my head. I have tool path templates that I dialed in way back when. it's like all the phone #'s I used to know until I put them into my phone... I started making a chat but I keep forgetting to finish it.
Any chance you would share you parameters for .250 in mild steel? Thanks in advance. The chart I downloaded was using 45amps and 47ipm. Looks like your getting some great cuts. @@BeckTools

I was thinking of going with the 60 amp but could get the 80 amp unit if it uses less amps when turned down. How low can you go and still get a good cut? Just wondering if you could go down to 60 amps and it would still cut like that but maybe a bit slower? When set to 75 amps and cutting how many amps is it actually pulling? Was thinking about the 65 amp harbor freight plasma cutter but 90 day warranty? NOPE. When I seen the equivalent Everlast unit was actually cheaper then the HF and has a 5 yr parts and labor warranty well all I can say is SOLD, just have to decide on the 60 or 80 amp unit.
The 80 amp has a better torch and uses the higher power consumables like the 100 amp machine. The 80 amp machine can also run at a 100% duty cycle at 60 amps. This means long cut times are no problem. The 80 amp machine can run 0.9mm consumables at 30 amps for fine cutting. It's better all around for a very little increase in price.

I emailed Everlast and the guy who answered said it [this 82I version] needed 68 amps inrush current but the manual says 55 amps so he contradicted the published specs. He said I needed to use the inrush amp figure as over all amps needed and I would need a 70 amp breaker, but like I said the 82I manual says 55 not 68 amps.... so? I think there is/was some kind of misunderstanding. I am going to call them and speak to another tech about it to be sure.
@@BeckTools Wow thanks for telling me that. I did order the 82i today and was wondering if I would have problems. I'm running a 60 amp breaker as I run a 175 tig welder off that plug. I feel much better now. I guess the last person I talked to at Everlast, a sales guy was right, he did say I would be fine with a 60 amp circuit. I was hoping over all I'd still be able to run my 5 hp ingersoll rand compressor at the same time as the plasma cutter. I'll have to wait and see on that. Note to people researching the Everlast PowerPlasma 82i, it is on sale now, 4/13/23 at $1249.00, CNC version is more but is also on sale now, but not for much longer. It is out of stock, they said when new stock comes in it is going up about 120.00. They also gave me a coupon for 25% all accessories and consumables for the next 24 months. Call them before you order to get that coupon.
Yeah I know. The problem is my customers don't all know that. If it's perceived as week people will not buy it. It has to be a little overkill just to convince the ill-informed. I'm making it just light enough to be under 70lbs but still as strong as it can be. These couple parts are not even close to being the weakest link so you're correct I could make the holes bigger for sure.

@@robert5 I've been using a 50amp breaker and running it wide open. I've never has a breaker trip.
