Das ist wenzhou Chinapaper und ich beziehe es bei Boesner oder Gerstäcker. Viel Erfolg ;-)

Hi, it's beautiful. I have a question: I always make my paintings by purchasing my canvas without gesso sold by the foot because my canvases are huge, minimum 5-6 feet x 5 feet. I love the color of the canvas without the gesso and I hate all the transparent gesso I have tried because they are not 100% matte, always a visible sheen which I hate. so, can I paint directly without gesso to smudge beautiful parts of the linen-colored canvas and I varnish everything at the end? Because I don't know if I can put a varnish it has a "parchment finish" so matte on my unprimed canvas? And not varnishing makes it more difficult to clean the dust....... I'm not a professional painter but I love what I do, it's a wonderful means of expression. Thank you and have a good day, from Montreal.

It is ok to use no gesso.
I use a matt finishing spray at the end to firnis the painting. It sages the painting to for sunlight ..
