If you want to know where to go, you have to know where you come from. We take all of todays knowledge and skills for granted but forget that it has been a long and hard way to gather all this. As the old Goethe said: "We think us so high and great and forget that we are standing on the shoulders of giants." Thank you for this great video.
The best you channel i have watched all your videos As i child we were supposed to immigrate to norway but my father chose the australian option i always wonder how differnt life would have been in norway i am amazed by everything i see from there thankyou for the history and the travel for content i am living vicariously through your channel
It is so great to have you back now moving from Stave churches to ships. It was the middle of the night here in Australia so I missed your Q&A session. Please more videos! When I visit Denmark once every 2 or 3 years, I spend lots of time at the Viking Ship Museum in Rosekilde. I enjoy sailing on the crinkler ships built there and watching the workshops where the ships are built. I can feel history reborn in front of my eyes. Thank you for including the Danish and Norwegian interviews. As an aside, are you going to make a series of videos following the build of the new Viking museum in Oslo? Warm regards from The Antipodes, Andy
English speakers: The Norwegian and Danish interview sections require that you turn on the English (US) Closed Captions.
We were in western Norway in April and may, This is a great history channel.. It is adding to what little knowledge we gathered about Vikings.
