When you think about it feather is referring to how if a no mane tried to hurt him he'd do the same thing Nothing did to quick mane , (spoiler for episode 9:Fire) In the part where fire is almost by killed by barkmane and feather jumps in and jumps on barkmanes face it quickly cuts to the one part in episode 1 where nothing attacked quick mane as a cub (hence showing that feather really did do the same thing as Nothing)

Hover joining the pride makes her more anxious than ever, because she’s losing something she’s had ever since she was born; freedom. not only that, but she’s met Nothing, who’s opened her life for many unexplored possibilities and futures, which means Hover will grow even more as a person (or lion, to be precise). another meaning for a dream with your teeth falling out is the rebirth of something; it reflects the tension and pain that accompanies the start of something new (new home, new relationship, new job, etc), which for Hover is joining Nothing’s pride. if this is what the creator was going for, then damn, I’m very impressed and amazed. I love this series and can’t wait to see more.

I love how Sharptongue is trying to warn/prepare Nothing for the journey and her quest thing, through her stories. She tells of the goddesses to help lay the framework, then tries to veil the message in a story. Then, when she realizes she has no time, she has to tell Nothing quickly, not caring who hears. This may be unintentional but is cool :)

Seriously, this series is so tragic, and sweet, and real. I absolutely love this, more than anything I've ever seen on Netflix or TV. Especially seeing as this was made through quarantine, that deserves some serious merit.

To some of these replys and the comment the reason why power strike wasn't sad about starmane and sparks deaths was because they were unexpected but this series shows how lion prides work and that's just what happens however with her mother it's different unlike her former mate and son sharp tongue death wasn't set in how lion prides work and because her death was caused by her sickness she was suffering so her was more than a lion pride working correctly it was unexpected but it was also because of her suffering ☹️ and the mom was just really sad that she was gone

Multiple theories here...
1. Hover will probably have to bear Quickmane’s cubs (makes me sad, hope it’s not true.)
2. Sharptongue’s story wasn’t a story, it was a prophecy.
3. Quickmane will exile Nothing because Sharptongue is dead now.
4. It is possible that the “prophecy” will come true after Nothing’s exile. The Goddesses could be furious with Quickmane and show the land their wrath, as Sharptongue has fore-warned in episode 1? (This one is a little far-fetched.)
5. The white lion in Nothing’s dreams is Spark.
6. Hover will not be able to follow Nothing when she is exiled. Pride members may threaten to kill Hover if she does so, because she’d be a traitor and deserter to her new pride.
7. Nothing will go on a quest to find ‘My Pride,’ a territory where she and Hover can be safe. Nothing will come back for Hover when she has found territory and/or pride members (maybe Nothing finds Fire too?)
I thought about number one, too. I was just looking up lion's behaviors in the wild (I'm a major lion nerd) and I saw that males breed with all of the lionesses in the pride.
AHHHHHH I really think number one will happen but I’d be so sad if it did- it’d be a good for the plot though
Em G For number 1, i was thinking the same thing ever since Nothing said that last line in the episode! Quickmane would want Hover to bear his cubs but she won’t and that will cause trouble and maybe from there Nothing might be forced to reconsider her priorities, loyalty to her pride or to Hover.

I hate how Nothing’s mother is taking her anger out on Nothing, yes we get it your sad, but it’s not an excuse to take it out on your daughter
The series is following the nature of lions. When a male lion outside a pride takes over a pride, beating the male, he kills the remaining cubs because they're not his. Nothing survived and can't fend for herself, becoming a burden for the pride. Nothings mother might see this as an upset to their natural way of living, Nothing surviving and living. I am in no way excusing the mothers actions here! Really shitty! But, that's just my theory as to why she lashed out like that and why she remains cold towards her daughter.

I love how neither Powerstrike nor Quickmane are purely “evil.” They’re complex characters in their own ways.
Powerstrike seems to represent upholding ancient traditions.
Which is why Nothing infuriates her so much. She’s not supposed to be alive. If nature was allowed to take action, she would’ve been dead.
Her existence also seems to be a defiance of Quickmane’s power; in a way invalidating his accomplishments as he was unable to kill the last two cubs that would’ve guaranteed that only his genes were carried on.
That's because lions are not evil. They're lions. Their way of life is harsh compared to ours.

Spoiler warning : I believe that in episode 9, the pride shown is Hovers pride. What if she was cast out like what happened to Nothing in episode 5? It also explains why Hover disliked the idea of joining the pride, *”You know how I feel about prides.”*
It could also be a prophetic dream because she is about to change her whole life for Nothing, only to loose her shortly after.

Okay, I just realized that in in Nothing's dream she says her leg is healed, and I believe the white lion is talking about changing the prides for the better.
I think the reason Nothing's leg is healed is because if the prides change, she would be treated like a lioness that can fully function/her injury would not be seen as something negative, rather as a symbol of strength. She would be seen ad a lion that can do what any other lion could do. She would be treated fairly.
Edit: ALSO I think that Sharptounge is comparing Sunce to the prides and their rules and nothing to Cansu (I think the name is) to Nothing.
What I am trying to say is that Nothing is Cansu and she can find what Sunce (The prides) are doing wrong "The blind spot" and end the cycle. Nothing might be able to create a world where all lions are equal. I would explain further but again, I'm too lazy :P

as a personal thought, I think what sharptounge was saying to nothing is that the nighttime is the safest option to travel because in episode 1 in the story it says that sunce can only see in the daytime. so instead of cansu it is asra because like nothing she has a disability (being blind) but also asra is the moon goddess so is sunces opposite. just a theory but I also love how you put yours

I was kind of hoping Nothing would leave the pride after all the bullshit she's been put through. The two lions that genuinely cared for her are both gone, one was kicked out and the other is dead.

My grandmother passed in September of 2018. Ironically it was the 11th. I still can't believe she's gone. Whenever I can't take it, I cry and try to tell her through those human roars how much I miss her and wish I could tell her all the things I've learned and done since then.

I absolutely love Powerstrike's voice acting . She sounds so powerful and demanding , but her voice always also carries a little bit of pain , ad when her mother died the pain becomes a lot more easy to hear on her voice .
I also LOVE Nothing's animation , in every frame . Even without looking at her legs you can see there's something wrong with her legs by the way she moves .
Basically , I love this series , keep up the good work everyone!!

I was rewatching My Pride again wanted to point out about Hover mentioning dreaming about her teeth falling out, so I looked it up and the results talk about that dream associating with loss or important life changes which got me thinking... if her dreams mean anything than my guess is there was someone in her past of whom she deeply cared about like a sibling or a parent. Hover also mentioned in the previous episode that she was "born and raised" as a prideless lion which is why I don't think her dream indicates with the possibility of her losing a pride. Idk tho, just a thought :T
