As a baby boomer I watched the Donna Reed Show daily to give me a feeling of stability while my Mother first raised me and later at 13 my Dad. ( My Mom's New husband did'nt want me so I was sent to my Dad and his new wife). Donna Reed was the loving Mom I yearned for but didn't have.
The best tributes always brim with love and this is one of the best I have ever scene. Donna Reed is one of my all time favourite actresses. So glad we're able to remember & celebrate her elegance and talent.
I found out through studying genealogy that Donna Reed knew my grandmother, Margaret Robertson Patrick, they were very close friends. I used to watch old movies not knowing the secrets in my grandmother's life. What a joy to know she influenced my life my grandmother with such humility at 51 years' old finding out who she knew in the big picture. I would love to of known more stories about Donna Reed. What a powerful woman and how she influenced other women and men's lives. To know my grandmother was a part of it, makes me proud of the women in my life, Love Janna Kay Reynick
A great actress and a truly beautiful woman.Last summer we visited the Donna Reed Playhouse and Museum in Denison. Even though she has been gone for 30 years now,Iowans are still proud of her.
Great tribute. Donna and Wayne were in another movie together, a terrific comedy called "Trouble along the Way" . Their both great . I grew up watching Donna and I have to I always considered her among the most beautiful of actresses of her time.
I loved Donna Reed as Miss Ellie. She showed great strength and character. I loved seeing her in her beautiful dresses in Dallas. I will always miss Donna Reed's Miss Ellie. Also loved Barbara Bel Geddes as Miss Ellie. I was always in awe how Donna and Barbara looked so much a like that sometimes they could have passed as twins, when they were older. I love Donna and Barbara, both equally.

She's still entertaining today. I watched Donna Reed as a child in syndication, and now watch it with the family on Amazon today.

Anyone know the name of the music playing in tge TCM matinee afternoon advert?
Stop calling me Lorene. My name is Alma, Alma Burke. Mrs. Kifer picked the name because it sounds French. She read it in a perfume ad.
Weak tea.
