I don't play Warhammer, I don't collect Warhammer, I don't paint Warhammer. I have nothing to do with any kind of wargaming, table-top RPG games that involve miniatures or hand-painted figurines (and have little interest in doing so) yet I have been binge watching a number of your videos and some by other miniature hobbyist channels and have to say they're very satisfying. These videos that you are doing where you put sprues to excellent use are very inspiring. They might not compare to official, professionally modelled and moulded model kits but this genuinely impresses me more than when people paint the kits.

Man, this is absolutely fantastic. Once again I am truly impressed. The fact that you cut all those sprues, glued it all together and even the molded wheels. Incredible effort, and it looks so good! The nibbly nobbly king indeed!

You inspired me with your sprue videos to make me a warboss. I used the sprues and extra bits from the start collecting box and I am quite proud of the results. So thank you!!!
If you use the same technique to dribble the sprue goo into the mold, the same way you do the mold mixture, you will reduce the bubbles in the plastic.
This is how Ork vehicles should be. Nothing should be mass produced. Everything should actually be individual and unique, as is the way of the Orks. I worked for GW in the late 99s and Gorkamorka was still a big thing at the head office at Nottingham and the the kitbashed, converted and scratch built battle wagons was an absolute joy to see. I took a great deal of inspiration from them. I was actually told by a friend of mine who actually still works for GW that it was these designs that inspired the plastic battlewagon that is available now for the Orks
Absolutely amazing and really an inspirational video. Just goes to show you that you can be creative and have loads of fun without the need to buy models.
Just an idea for you but maybe next time you could smear the melted sprues on to the larger sections to hide that multiple stick effect - almost like using milliput to hide joins on models Brilliant build!! really inspiring thank you
Now, build a stompa! But seriously dude. I would watch an hour long video with you building stuff and talking about orcs and sprues and stuff. You got a nice voice to listen to.
Thank you, Miniature Hobbyist, in an unbelievably dark year, your videos have helped make me feel a lot better about the world...the words "sprue" and "nibbly-nobbly bitz" make a nice change from "covid", "social division" and "general doom". Pax Vobiscum.
To remove the bubbles from the melted goo you should get an ultrasonic cleaner. Put the mold with the goo inside and turn it on. The vibration should remove all those pesky bubbles while it dries.
That was an awesome. I’ve watched part 2 aswell and the end result looked awesome. Curious if your planning on doing other Ork vehicles like their jets, trukks, bikes, and better looking copters. Do you think it’s possible to share some of those templates as well for all the hobby enthusiasts out there ?
Question on safety: when working with resin, gloves and ventilation are mandatory. How does it compare to working with acetone-melted plastic? Does it give off fumes as well (other than the acetone itself)?
Nice to see all those sprues going to a good use. I’d been hoarding them for a while.
Thank you so much again, I cant believe I pretty much used them all up lol =)
May do this for a bike!
@@MiniatureHobbyist my husband has a 50liter tub full of them. This battlewagon looks really amazing.
