@@LXSON0X that unfortunately happens all the time here in Brazil, kids playing, kids going to school, kids celebrating together in public space, they kill anything they feel wont matter. And nothing happens to those cops, besides maybe retirement.

In general, those young black mand live in the poor part of the city, in some places, called favelas. OBS: This amount of deaths is accounted by the Secretary of Defence (so, we think that in reallity the noumber may be even higher).

Hello guys! This was nice! I just would like to give my contribution: When Choice says "You give us guns and drugs and ask us why we shoot" its a criticism to the politicians. Is very known in Brazil how rich people and politicians control the drug dealing from outside favelas. Using the poor people living there as their soldiers. You guys sad "everybody" has a choice", I respectfuly disagree. Imagine you being a 10 years old and the most "successful" people around you are gang members and drug dealers, imagine not having food on the table for you and your family, imagine not having safety, imagine not have time to study cause you must work to help your family, imagine you not finding a job ever because the countrys economy is a shit. So, it's really different down here bro! Keep reactin to our raps and you gonna learn more and more about. Stay safe, peace!

There was a huge case where a lot of cocaine was found on a private helicopter of a senator, the pilot was blamed for it.
The barricade mentioned is an actual barricade made on the entrance of some favelas by the drug dealers who own it.
The police are one of the main suppliers of guns and drugs for drug cartels in Rio, there is an old tactic of apprehending guns and selling it back for 2x the price.

O Marcos Vinicius que eles citam na música foi um estudante morador da favela que estava voltando da aula pra casa quando foi atingido por um tiro de fuzil da polícia que o matou na hora. Se não me engano ele nem tinha concluído o ensino fundamental ainda. Era um simples estudante. Por isso causou tanta revolta nos Mc's e por isso eles o citam tanto na música. Honestly the "Young people being taken seriously" is one of the hottest bars there
Basically there was this singer/rapper in the 90's/2000's that blown up talking about stuff like this,and one of his most famous songs was about this thing in particular,where he sang "youth is never taken seriously in brazil". Unfortunately he either killed himself or overdosed,or both,im not sure
This bar was there basically to scream "hey! Its been 30 years and we still havent made progress",basically a continuation to the previous bar that Said something among the lines of "i want progress"
I think is more than that. The song you're talking about is "Não é sério" (Is not serious), it was a feat between this rapper (it was actually a band called Charlie Brown Jr) and Negra Li, the singer who is also featuring this song. She sings there: What I can see is just 1/3 of the problem. It's a system that has to change. We can't stop fighting, or it won't change. The song is from 1997, and she is saying now that she's still on the same fight.
Excellent video, even without the context of some parts you understood the message better than a lot of Brazilians. This song is full of facts, most of the things in the lyrics have plenty of news about it. Congratulations guys

Marielle Franco, PSOL councilor, was executed on March 14, 2018, along with Anderson Gomes, who drove the car in which she was shortly after participating in an event at Casa das Pretas, in the Lapa neighborhood, in downtown Rio. She left around 9 pm on the night of the event, and was murdered at 9:30 pm when a car with her killers teamed up with the vehicle carrying her.
