      Based on me listening to Descent over and over, I'd have to say I agree 👍

      Nesha album is unbelievable but early stuff like redfog and wings of dragons are monster tracks

    Yeah the singer Nicklas Karlsson, writes, mixes and produces all their music, a mastermind, they literally don have one bad song, all bangers
    Try any song from the nija album, if you want older I suggest sun of all or saw, their new ep is fantastic, try while we serve from that one first 🤘🏻

      I thought I heard it somewhere. It's impressive. A few more spins of Descent and then I'm on to Nija 🤟🤟🤟

    Oh yes. Love these guys. Got a rib injury in the pit watching them that took about a year to heal. Was worth it though

    Loved the instrumentals and the growls were tolerable because they were mixed with clean vocals. I couldn't understand the lyrics so I looked them up. Gloomy an despairing but very poetic.

      I've since learned that they are huge Gojira and Metallica fans, so my comparisons are well justified 😁

    Orbit Culture is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Eksjö, formed in 2013. The band includes vocalist/guitarist Niklas Karlsson, guitarist Richard Hansson, bassist Fredrik Lennartsson, and drummer Christopher Wallerstedt.
    The band has released four studio albums and four EPs.
    This song is from their latest studio album "Descent" 2023. Orbit Culture is my go to band when I am feeling a bit angry and irratated, it calms me .
    If you like this song, you will LOVE "Vultures of North"!!!!

    What a great band to discover using brand new headphones. 🤘
    Ppl aren't joking when they say this band doesn't make a bad song. All of their music is this good. They're incredible.

      I trust all of your judgment, based upon hearing 'Descent' about 10 times since I recorded this video 😁

      @@melvinthinks check out Sound of the Bell off of this EP, then you've got to go backwards in their catalog.

    This band never seen to highlight the guitar solos as the music is one big sound, all elements mixed together so well, it makes you spot different things each time you listen you'll notice a little subtle sound you didn't hear the first time. Enjoy mate.

    Im yet to discover many metal bands but this one here is definitely one of my favourites ever and probably my favourite modern band. I think this song sums up Orbit culture very well. Some of their songs i like the most are redfog, flight of the fireflies, north star of nija, the shadowing and honesty i could say many more cause they're all bangers lmao. Oh and While we serve its absolutely amazing, but i would listen to some of the older stuff first

    • @melvinthinks
      @melvinthinks  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've binged their latest album to death on my rowing machine, so am definitely due another of their albums to spice things up. I think it was Tank The Tech who I watched after making this video, who said they are the torch bearers of modern metal. Or it may have been an online fanzine interview. I honestly can't remember! But who cares. They are flipping ace. One of my favourite metal discoveries on this channel so far.

    I said they same thing when I first heard them. How have I never heard this band before? I recall you saying you listened to this album a few times. If you need another album unlocked they do "The North Star of Nija" live in studio that is brilliant. It will unlock the Nija album that is phenomenal as well.

    • @melvinthinks
      @melvinthinks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh definitely! I like listening to albums multiple times to get that sense of fandom. And once I've played it to death, move on to another record. If I jump to frequently between albums so soon after discovering a new band, I cant remember which tracks are on which album! Descent has definitely got a few more spins left in it, and then I'll move on to Nija

      @@melvinthinksI still have an extensive album collection but Spotify saves my pockets now a days and I blew through Orbit Culture discography already. I do buy vinyls now to hang on wall and Descent will be making the cut for sure.

    • @melvinthinks
      @melvinthinks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used to either buy physical CD's (of my favourite bands) or purchase the MP3's directly from Bandcamp. Everything else was on Spotify. I recently started paying for a premium Spotify subscription because I'm becoming less material and adamant that I must have the raw mp3 files on my laptop! Plus it helps me educate myself for the channel too 😁

    • @joshfayne3591
      @joshfayne3591 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@melvinthinksI got premium Spotify years ago and I love it. Everything I could want to listen to whenever I want. That's why I buy the vinyls now. Supporting my favorite artists, decorating my house and I don't have to spend hours downloading and organizing on my laptop and iPod. Spotify helps me go down rabbit holes with new artists. I can just listen to the whole discography that day lol

    • @melvinthinks
      @melvinthinks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hell yeah! Same as you, but I used to spend ages meticulously sorting stuff on MusicBee (I'm an Android guy). I used to HAVE to own every CD of the bands I loved and supported. But I don't even had a CD player/Hi-fi anymore. I support the bands I love by buying gig tickets, t-shirts and merch, the odd CD/Vinyl/MP3. Oh, and giving some of them free marketing on my TH-cam channel! 😁

      In an interview I read recently w/Niklas he said Metallica and Gojira are HUGE influences on the bands sound. So I'd say they are the Swedish Metallojira! 😁
