Wow! Seeing the 'Terror Twins' on stage next to each other doing what they do best sent chills up my spine. I saw them on 88 at Hampton Coliseum. Phil got the flu really bad enuff that they postponed til the next night. But the next night the Lads rocked the roof 'OFF', I MEAN THEY WERE TIGHT! I got my personal Top 6 bands. At 3:30, Joe forgot the "come on" lyrics before the guitar solo, lol. I remember buying "Hysteria" on cassette back in 1987. This sounds great for a live performance. I've always liked this song in particular, great lyrics and the guitar riffs are incredible. R.I.P. Steve Clark, you are gone but never forgotten. Your voice lives on in these lyrics and guitar riffs.
Thing about a live performance is you can change things up a bit and the “come on” is not an essential part so yes to the programmed brain it sounds off not hearing it. Some dislike live performances because they vary against songs programmed into their memories.

The Terror Twins, knowing Steve is absent from this world and seeing him with Phil here brings back so many memories. This is one of my all time favorite songs and if I had to pick a favorite album Hysteria would be it. I'm a Gen X girl so I grew up with Def Leppard and they have some awesome records and songs under their belts. It's funny that kids now days here we will say like this song for instance live and they think its bad because they know only autotune and now what real talented musicians sound like. I'm proud to say I enjoyed hearing honest music and truthfully I wish music had stayed honest but I guess if they didn't have autotune music would be a dying trade because the ones they reel into the studios now days....Don't hold a candle to Def Leppard or any group after 2002.
Very rare to see any TOTP performance without lipsync to be honest haha. But since it's TOTP, only Joe's voice is live and the instruments are studio tracks... Have seen this one long ago but unfortunately it was taken down... Still looking for every broadcast in original quality though...
