I heard this performed in the single nave Kirche Zum Heilsbronnen in Berlin some years ago, performed by the now defunct choir Unisono, conducted by Bodo Bischoff. Listening to this performance on youtube, the music comes directed on two speakers. At the church in Berlin, there were twelve singers placed on the perimeter of the nave, spaced equally apart along the two long walls. The atmosphere was transcendentally celestial. The whole space was filled with the pleas of the individual yet united voices.
