    Thank you, Jason. Also useful: save the EQ, Compressor etc. settings as a custom preset.

    Thanks for all your videos one question I have is at 10:41 the start of EQ you have a wave form of your audio to adjust the EQ too. How do I get that wave form to show up in EQ? Thank again

      That feature is new and part of DaVinci Resolve 19. It's in the free version and in Studio.

    Hi. Thanks for the video. I would like to know If I have two audios with mixed volume levels, how can I adjust them to have both same volumen on the same track? Thanks

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! If you've got 2 audio tracks, I'd put them each in their own track, not in the same track. For more info on how to edit the volume, check out my video on setting levels: th-cam.com/video/uqg8C4g65wQ/w-d-xo.html

      Hey! Here's what I said on the other comment:
      Hi! I'm assuming you mean that the audio clips at the loud parts, is that correct? If that's the case, you need to set the microphone levels to a spot where they don't peak when you are at your loudest point. If the audio is clipped, you can't get it back. You can always boost the quiet parts, but make sure you aren't clipping the loud parts. Ideally, a 32-bit float recording would be ideal for you.

    Thank you for your guides, which have helped me improve my editing! I wish I had even a tenth of your experience.
    I have a question regarding audio. When I watch a video on TH-cam, I usually set the volume to around 20%. However, when I listen to my own videos, I have to turn the volume up to 100% to get a similar listening experience.
    I normalize, compress, and limit each of my audio tracks, doing my best to stay as close as possible to TH-cam's guidelines. Yet, despite all my efforts, the sound doesn’t match that of other creators, not even those using the same microphone as I do (Blue Yeti).
    It feels like I’m missing something big that everyone else seems to understand! Do you have any advice or guidance on where I could focus my research?
    Thank you for your educational and fun content!
    P.S.: If this comment comes across as self-promotion for my channel or causes any issues, please feel free to delete it!

      Hey! Glad my videos have been helpful! When it comes to how loud the videos are on TH-cam, you're probably not getting close to the maximum allowable Loudness that TH-cam allows, which is -14 LUFS.
      First you want to set all of your levels for your tracks. Here's a video with my recommendations: th-cam.com/video/uqg8C4g65wQ/w-d-xo.html Then you want to set the overall loudness of the video. This is done AFTER you set levels properly. I also talk about loudness in the video. If you get everything set up properly, then you should notice that you can listen to your videos at a lower volume too. Hope this helps!

      @@JasonYadlovski Thank you for taking the time to respond to me.
      I strive to get as close as possible to the maximum dB and LUFS levels allowed by TH-cam (-1 dB and -14 LUFS). At least, that’s what I’ve done with my most recent videos. However, I still feel like the volume is lower than it should be.
      I’ll go through everything step by step once again after applying the tips from the "AUDIO LEVELS CRASH COURSE."
      Have a great day!

    Why should dialogue stay in the yellow and not go in the red?

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A little in the red is ok, you just don’t want it peaking or getting too close, so when you master it you’ve still got headroom.
